Hilton Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) "A Community of Grace and Welcome to All," Hilton Christian Church lives as part of the DOC "movement of wholeness in a fragmented world," in Christ.

Visit us and experience first-hand this warm, inviting and accepting church community. Sunday School is provided for all age levels during September through May. Our morning service is a traditional one centered on our relationship with God and the community. The communion table represents this relationship and is open to everyone. All are invited to any of our services. Come be a part of the Hilton Christian Church community!

We invite you to join us this Sunday June 7th at Hilton Christian Church for one of our Pastor's favorite sermons!

What is in a name? The sermon comes from an unlikely text: Romans 16; this is basically a list of names. Paul includes this as the closing of his letter to the Roman church. So much of what happened in the early church has been forgotten because those writing the history either didn’t know about it or it seemed too mundane to warrant documenting. Romans 16 is a snapshot of a congregation in first century Rome. Knowing what this congregation looked like helps us understand the calling we have as church.

This Sunday, May 24, is Pentecost Sunday!

We sure hope you can join us in the Sanctuary at 100 James River Dr. at 11:00 AM as we commemorate the coming of the Holy Spirit on the Early Church, and celebrate the Spirit's continuing activity today! Please try and wear red or some other "Flame" color if you join us in person.

We will join our hearts and voices together in prayer and in song; we will hear the Good News which God has for us in scripture (this week's readings come from John 7:37-39 and Acts 2:1-13) and in preaching (Pastor Natalie will be delivering one of her famous "first-person" sermons, titled "What She Saw"; and, of course, we will join together at the Table for Communion.

Following the service, we will adjourn to the Fellowship Hall for light refreshments.
Childcare is provided during the service.
