just sharing the first assignment with you all to give you something to think about this is the first week of Conflict communication 1.1 Discussion: Forgiving God of Unity and Peace
Getting Started
The Bible teems with scriptures on unity, love, forgiveness and communication. Why so many, you might ask. Think about how sparse unity is in the world today, and why. In the midst of division, distrust and deception lay the absence of unity. The question is asked in James 4:1:
"What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you?"
Upon successful completion of this discussion, you will be able to:
Understand the importance of communicating unity, love, and forgiveness in our communications. When we do so, we reflect those attributes found in God.
Reflect and embrace methods of communication that diffuse conflict.

Background Information
In I Peter 3: 8-11, Peter encourages and gives us a tool for love and unity:
"To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing. For the one who desires life, to love and see good days, must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. He must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it."
