PRAYER NOVENA FOR THE EPISCOPAL INSTALLATION OF BISHOP EVELIO MENJIVAR-AYALA

In the spirit of faith and gratitude, the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston invites you to join a prayer novena for Bishop Evelio Menjivar-Ayala as he prepares for his installation as the tenth Bishop of Wheeling-Charleston.

During these nine days we will entrust his episcopal ministry to the Lord, asking that the Holy Spirit would strengthen, guide, and accompany him in this new pastoral mission. We thank God for his generous service, his closeness to our communities, and his faithful witness of the Gospel.

The ninth will be held from June 23 to July 1, 2026. We invite you to participate and keep Bishop Menjivar in your prayers during this important time in the life of the Church.

HAPPENING TODAY! Wear your walking shoes because today we celebrate Corpus Christi!

Join us in celebrating the Solemnity of Corpus Christi with our annual Morgantown Eucharistic Procession and Reception!

The Procession of the Blessed Sacrament will begin at St. John University Parish (1481 University Ave) at the close of our 11:00am Mass and will follow along University Avenue until we end at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Star City. This is a 2.6 mile procession.

We will repose our Eucharistic Lord and join as a community in the St. Mary Reception Hall for food and fellowship afterward! We will have a bus available to take us back to our cars at St. John’s from 2:00pm – 4:00pm.
