Due to the snowy and icy conditions, we have decided to cancel services for 1/19.

40 days after his resurrection, Jesus was lifted up into heaven, where he was seated at the throne at his Father's right hand, where he must reign until all his enemies are put under his feet. (see Acts 2:34-35). Christians have great reason to celebrate this overlooked aspect of Christ's ministry to his people.

And so, last night we joined together to worship, feast, and celebrate together the Ascension of Jesus.

We will never be able to make too big of a deal out of the fact that Christ is raised from the dead, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try! This is why we celebrate Easter for 50 days.

As we continue our sermon series on the book of James, we see that our goal is to grow into Christian maturity, and we do this by walking the path of Christ-like wisdom.

"For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given." - Isaiah 9:6

The child who was born on Christmas is a gift of the Heavenly Father, given to bring us his everlasting peace.

Join us tomorrow as we worship this Prince of Peace at 10:30.

Then plan to join us again gather at 5pm to celebrate the coming of Christ at our Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols service.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me..to bring good news to the poor." - Isaiah 61:1

This is the third Sunday of Advent, often called Gaudete Sunday, from the latin word for "Rejoice." We remind ourself that the coming of the light Christ into our world is the "good news of great joy for all people."

"Comfort, comfort my people, says your God." - Isaiah 40:1

Tomorrow is the second Sunday of Advent, a time in which we remember and long for the coming of Jesus Christ, when we will see "the glory of the Lord revealed"(Isaiah 40:5). This hopeful longing is a great comfort to us throughout all our lives.

Had a wonderful First Sunday of Advent. Our Lord's day Service followed by good food and fellowship.

Some of our friends from the greater Pittsburgh/Western PA area who are interested in the CREC joined us for our worship and fellowship. Reach out to us if you would like to know more about the work going on in that area.

"Oh that you would rend the heavens and come down!" - Isaiah 64:1

Tomorrow is the first Sunday of Advent. Advent is not just a time of extended Christmas celebration, but a time in which we remember that Christ is coming again "with glory, to judge the living and the dead." Advent is a time of hope, in which we look for the completion of our redemption that has already begun in Christ.

Join us tomorrow as we enter into this season by worshiping the coming King. We worship at 10:30, located at 200 Trinity Way, Morgantown, WV.

Also plan to stay and join us at our monthly fellowship meal!
