We are so excited for the next Roots of Renewal Spa day with the Morgantown Beauty College!

This special day is all about helping women feel seen, valued, beautiful, and loved—and we'd love your help in making it happen.

Here are just a few ways you can get involved:

❤️ Provide transportation from Hazel's House to the church and/or return transportation.

❤️ Provide transportation from Marjorie Gardens to the church and/or return transportation.

❤️ Donate gently used handbags, wallets, tote bags, or purses to help create special care packages for our guests.

❤️ Help decorate Old Drummond following worship on July 19 to create a warm and welcoming spa atmosphere.

❤️ Donate small gifts such as candles, jewelry, hair accessories, scarves, trinkets, beauty items, or other treasures that help our guests feel cherished.

❤️ Serve as a hostess during the event by welcoming our guests, students, instructors, and volunteers with a friendly smile.

❤️ Help spread the word! Invite women you know who could benefit from a day of encouragement, pampering, and connection.

❤️ Most importantly, pray for the event—for the women attending, the students and instructors from Morgantown Beauty College, our volunteers, and all those helping make this day possible.

Together, we can remind every woman who walks through our doors that she is deeply loved and wonderfully made. 💜

As we continue to reflect on Juneteenth, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Charlene Marshall for sharing her wisdom, perspective, and powerful message with us this past Sunday.

One quote from her message continues to resonate:

"Indeed, pride of race, pride of our vibrant community, and pride in sharing this day of celebration fortifies all of us. Juneteenth is a day of reflection, a time to engage America's never-ending conversation about freedom. Let freedom ring, shall we?"

Juneteenth is both a celebration and a call to remember. It invites us to reflect on the journey toward freedom, justice, and equality, while recognizing that the work of building beloved community continues.

For generations, freedom was promised but delayed. Rights were declared but withheld. Hope lived in the promise of "tomorrow."

Juneteenth reminds us that justice delayed is still injustice, and that freedom is worth celebrating, protecting, and extending to all.

May we never stop working for a world where no one has to wait for the freedom they have already been promised.
