ARW isn't like any other conference you've attended. We promise.

Where else can you explore your faith, discover your creativity, make lifelong friends, worship in unexpected ways, and remember what it feels like to PLAY?

At ARW, you won't spend your days sitting in a conference room listening to someone talk about creativity. You'll actually get to create. Try something new. Get your hands messy. Laugh a lot. And find yourself surrounded by people who understand why imagination, community, and joy matter in the life of the church.

It's part conference, part creative retreat, part family reunion, and an experience that's hard to explain until you've been there.

Come see what makes ARW different. Register, bring a friend, and get ready for a week unlike any other.

We promise.

What if the church took play a little more seriously?

More laughter. More creativity. More opportunities to connect.

Play isn't just for children's ministry. It's for the whole church.

At re:create we believe play builds relationships, sparks imagination, and reminds us that community is something we create together.

Sometimes the most meaningful moments of ministry happen when we put down the agenda, try something new, and simply enjoy being together.

When was the last time your church played together?

Share what's worked, tell us what you'd love to try, or tag a church leader who could use a little more play in their ministry.

Let's give the church some ideas worth sharing!

What a great day of play, connection, creativity, and worship!

Playology leaders Lisa and Darci had a wonderful time today at University Presbyterian Church in San Antonio, connecting with some great folks from Mission Presbytery.

We played. We built community. We created. We worshiped. And we experienced what happens when we make room for a little more play in the life of the church.

Thank you for welcoming us into your space and letting us share the re:create + Playology experience with you!

WHERE ARE OUR ARW ART PEOPLE?!

You know who you are.

You get the class list and immediately start looking for the clay, the glass, the fabric, the paint, the metal... basically anything that gives you permission to spend a week MAKING SOMETHING.

Well, ART PEOPLE, this is your heads up:

A few spaces just opened in some of our 2027 art offerings!

🏺 Get your hands in the clay with Pottery
✨ Play with light and color in Stained Glass
🧵 Explore quilting fabric, natural dyes and textile design in Hope Unbound
🎨 Create with mixed media and found objects in Hopeful Arts
📓 Cut, paste, write and imagine in Wild Journaling

Jewelry making is full.... but we'll let you know if a spot opens up!

And that's just part of the creative goodness waiting for you at ARW 2027. Not to mention all the other good stuff.

Some of these classes have VERY limited capacity, especially pottery and stained glass, so if you've been waiting to choose your class...

This is your sign. Hop on now and grab your spot.

Sometimes creativity doesn’t need a whole afternoon.

It needs 10 minutes.
A blank piece of paper.
A question you haven’t asked before.
A table with people around it.
Permission to try something that might not work.

At re:create, we believe creativity isn’t an extra thing we squeeze in when the “real work” is finished.

Creativity IS part of the work.

So here’s your invitation today:

Do one small thing differently.

Move the chairs. Flip the table.
Ask the weird question.
Use the good markers.
Try the idea you almost talked yourself out of.

See what happens.

A little re:create idea to try at church:

The next time you ask a group a question, don’t ask for answers right away.

Put paper and markers on the tables and give everyone two minutes to draw, doodle, write words, or make a list in response first.

Then invite people to share.

That tiny shift gives the quieter voices in the room time to think, takes some pressure off finding the “right” answer, and opens the conversation to people who process differently.

It works in Bible study, youth group, staff meetings, retreats, Sunday school, even committee meetings.

Sometimes changing how we ask the question changes who gets to answer.

📬 When we said check your mailbox, we meant your ACTUAL mailbox.

Like snail mail. With a stamp and everything. 😄

If you joined us at ARW for the first time this year, we sent a little something your way, including a special discount code to come back for ARW 2027: Wild Hope.

It may take a few days to make its way to you, but keep an eye on that mailbox. It’s coming!
