Baptismal Sunday at New Tabernacle Baptist Church

What a glorious day in the house of the Lord! Today, we celebrated 6 precious souls who publicly declared their faith through baptism.

Pastor Brian Reed delivered a powerful message entitled "From Death to Life" from Romans 6:3-4, reminding us that baptism is a beautiful testimony of God's transforming power.

As Pastor Reed shared, "Baptism is a testimony that God can change any life. Water doesn't save us, but it is an outward expression of an internal transformation. It is a public declaration that I now belong to Jesus Christ."

May God continue to bless each of you as you grow in your faith journey. 🙏🏽❤️

Today at The New Tabernacle Baptist Church (Brian Reed, Pastor) we celebrated our youth as they were presented with academic awards in recognition of their hard work and achievements throughout the school year. We are proud of each student and encourage them to continue striving for excellence.

As part of our 5th Sunday Fellowship Day hosted by Tab's Ministers, we were blessed by a powerful message from Minister Trent Williams titled, "Staying Humble as You Rise," based on Colossians 3:23-24. The message reminded us that while God elevates us through our accomplishments, true greatness is found in humility and giving Him the glory.

TabNation enjoyed a wonderful day of worship, encouragement, celebration, and fellowship. Congratulations to all of our students, and may God continue to guide you as you grow and succeed!

The delicious brunch was prepared by Rita's Pots & Pans.

Thank you Supt. Eleanor Smith and Sunday School Department for preparing today's youth awards program.

🎓 New Tabernacle Baptist Church proudly honored our graduates from Pre-K through graduate school during a special celebration service! We thank God for the accomplishments, dedication, and bright futures of each graduate.

Deacon Matthew Williams shared words of encouragement to inspire our graduates as they continue their journey, and Pastor Brian Reed delivered a powerful message from Psalm 46:1 titled “Faith for the Journey.” Using the illustration of taking a leap of faith and allowing God to be your parachute, graduates were reminded that God is our refuge, strength, and ever-present help through every season of life.

Special gifts of love were presented to our high school graduates, Jayden Reed and Brescotty Bracy, Jr., as we celebrated their achievements and next steps ahead.

Following service, refreshments were enjoyed and a special graduate table display highlighted the successes of our high school graduates through awards, trophies, and memories showcasing their hard work and accomplishments throughout the years.

Congratulations to all of our graduates! We are Tab proud 🎓🎉and pray for continued blessings on your journey.

A special thank you to Supt. Eleanor Smith and the Sunday School Department for their planning, dedication, and efforts in making today’s Graduate Salute such a meaningful and successful celebration.

On Wednesday, April 22, The New Tabernacle Baptist Church joyfully celebrated 82 years of faithful service during our Annual Usher Program, honoring both senior and junior ushers! 🙌🏽

This year’s theme, “Serving with Love, Honor, and Faithfulness,” truly reflected the heart and dedication of our usher ministry. We were blessed by the presence and support of TabNation, along with many ushers from across the city who joined us in this special celebration.

Pastor Brian Reed delivered a powerful message from Romans 12:9–13 titled “Mastering Your Ministry.” He shared five impactful key points:

A ministry of love and devotion
A ministry of honor and humility
A ministry of passion and excellence
A ministry of joy and endurance
A ministry of generosity and hospitality

Our ushers serve as the first impression of the Lord’s house welcoming all with warmth, grace, and a spirit of excellence.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated ushers of The New Tabernacle Baptist Church for your continued service, commitment, and love. Your ministry does not go unnoticed!

The New Tabernacle Baptist Church joyfully celebrated Resurrection Sunday! Pastor Brian Reed delivered a powerful and inspiring message entitled “Come and See” from Matthew 28:6, reminding us all of the hope and victory found in the resurrection.

Our hearts were blessed by the youth who shared Easter speeches, showcasing their faith and growth. We also reverently partook in Holy Communion, honoring the sacrifice and resurrection of our Lord and Savior.

A very special thank you to Sis. Berdeisha McClinton and Sis. Tiffany James for their dedication in working with the youth your impact is truly appreciated!

We also extend sincere appreciation to the Worthy Women Ministry for preparing gift bags for the youth and all attendees. These were received in the Tabatorium following service and added a special touch to an already blessed day.

The New Tabernacle Baptist Church proudly participated in this year’s Black History Parade, centered around the powerful theme, **“Rooted in Resilience.”

What an incredible day of fellowship, unity, and love! From the dedicated members who worked tirelessly to design and build our beautiful float, to those who generously donated candy, and to everyone who showed up ready to walk, smile, wave, and spread joy along the parade route your efforts truly made a difference.

Today was more than a parade; it was a celebration of our heritage, our strength, and our togetherness as a church family. The spirit of resilience lives within our community, and it was on full display as we connected with neighbors, shared laughter, and represented our church with pride.

Thank you to every member who played a role whether behind the scenes or on the front line. Your teamwork and commitment show what makes TabNation so special. 💚❤️🖤💛

TabNation represented, and we did it together! 🙌🏾

On the 4th Sunday of February, Pastor Brian Reed delivered a an inspiring message entitled “We Shall Overcome,” drawing from Ephesians 6:12 (NIV):
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

During the service, our Black History Program was held, honoring Black librarians for their invaluable contributions to the community. Interesting historical facts about Black librarians were shared, highlighting their significant role and achievements in the field. Each honoree was saluted and presented with a gift bag and a certificate of appreciation in recognition of their dedicated service.

The service served as both a spiritual encouragement and a celebration of the impact Black librarians have had and continue to have in preserving knowledge and fostering learning.
