The illustrious Pastor Vance Price of Community Family of Faith Church graced Zion Traveler Baptist Church with a powerful message on this day. His message was taken from Acts 3:1-10 and his message was entitled “When Our Timing Meets God’s Time”. Zion truly enjoyed the spiritual experience. God was in the house today.

The choir also did an amazing job lifting up the believers. Pastor Price blessed us with inspirational Altar Prayer as well.

Pastor Price was accompanied by his stunning wife, Mrs. Janay Price. We were blessed with her presence. Such a sweet spirit. Pastor Vance and Lady Janay please know that you are always welcome to come back. Keep Zion in your prayers and we will do the same for you and your Church Family.

Zion Traveler Baptist Church had a great Sunday!! We started service with a baptism for 4 souls: Triston Goldman, Alice Gray, Trenterion Gray and Joh’nathon Spearman. Rev. Gregory Smith, Interim Pastor and Chairman of the Trustees, Deacon James Ross performed the ceremony. They also received the “Right Hand of Fellowship.

Zion also celebrated our youth for their scholastic achievements during the 2025-2026 school year. Special thanks to Sister Helen Collins for her tireless efforts in getting this together.

Congratulations to the following students:
*Joh’nathon Spearman ~ graduated to 1st grade at Barkdull Faulk Elementary

*Tristan Goldman ~ graduated to 1st grade at Madison James Foster

*Paisley Jenkins ~ promoted to 2nd grade at Madison James Foster ~ made Principal’s List all year

*Trenterion Gray ~ promoted to 4th grade at Madison James Foster ~ received Most Improved & Participation Awards

*Janiyag Gray ~ promoted to 5th grade at Barkdull Faulk Elementary ~ made the A/B honor roll; student photographer; complete the whole Zearn Module; Teacher’s assistant helper

*Destiney Ampy ~ graduated to 7th grade at Madison James Foster

*Za’Raven Ampy ~ promoted to 8th at Riser Middle School with a 3.5 GPA

*Za’Riya Shelton ~ promoted to 9th grade and will attend West Monroe High School. Received Most Improved Award and made the WMHS Girls Basketball Team 🏀

*Divanna Gray ~ promoted to 9th grade and will attend Carroll High School

*LaKrist’yunna “Nikki” Ampy ~ promoted to the 10th grade and attends Wossman High School. Received Achievement in English 1; maintained all “A’s” for Quest for Science; and is Talented Art 1

*Jabori Dalton ~ promoted to 10th grade and attends Neville High School

*Zoey Ampy ~ will enter Kindergarten. Received the Most Outspoken and Most Kind Awards. She will attend Riser Elementary

Again congratulations ZTBC Scholars.

One of our own, Brother Jordan Gant who is in medical school gave an inspirational message to our youth. Jordan was introduced by his cousin Jabori Dalton.

Jordan we are so proud of everything that you have achieved. Keep soaring….future Dr. Jordan Gant.

Happy Youth Sunday!!

Our Youth Sunday Service was called to order by Sister Nikki Ampy and Sister Za’Raven Ampy rendered a eloquent prayer. Sister Zariya Sheldon recognized our visitors and Sister Destiney Ampy gave our Thought of the Week. Sister Tracy Ampy, one of our young adults read the announcements.

Rev. Greg Smith, Zion’s interim pastor, presented a powerful message entitled “Comfort For God’s People” - Isaiah 40:31. We’re so appreciative of Rev. Smith. He continues to show his love for Zion Traveler Baptist Church and we love and appreciate him so much.

Our drummer Brother Reginald Burrell brought his beautiful family to visit us and we really enjoyed their presence. In attendance were Brenda Burrell, James Burrell, Mr. & Mrs. Shervandalin Washington, Mr. & Mrs. Latysha Porter and little Miss Destiny. Please know that you are welcome at Zion any time.

Zion was also blessed to have in attendance our own Mavis Isby who graced us with a beautiful song. 🎶 🎵 Good to have you home.
