✨ What a gift this past Sunday's worship service was! ✨

A heartfelt thank you to guest musicians Lars Ortiz (cello) and Jeff Horwich (soprano saxophone) for sharing their extraordinary talents with the Lynnhurst community once again. Their music was absolutely breathtaking and brought beauty, depth, and inspiration to our worship.

We are also deeply grateful to vocalist Michael Fang, whose luminous rendition of "Bring Him Home" from Les Misérables moved and captivated all who were present. It was a truly unforgettable offering.

Thank you, Lars, Jeff, and Michael, for sharing your remarkable gifts with us. It was such a treat to welcome you to Lynnhurst, and we hope to see you again soon!

✨ COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT RECAP ✨

What a wonderful way to begin our new Community Spotlight series! (If you missed it, check out our livestream from yesterday around minute 23 and enjoy) : )

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Alex Church, founder of Third Space Theater, who has been using our building as a rehearsal and creative space for nearly four years.

Alex shared about his work as a playwright, director, performer, and producer, as well as the impact Third Space Theater has been able to make in our broader community. Through ticket sales, the organization has donated more than $2,500 to local nonprofits, including the Tubman Foundation, Freshwater, and the Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center. Through grants and productions, Alex has also helped employ more than 70 actors.

We were especially touched to hear that Alex initially discovered Lynnhurst while searching for progressive churches in the area and that he has come to deeply appreciate the community, hospitality, and affordable creative space he has found here.

After worship, many gathered for coffee and conversation, where Alex generously answered questions and shared more about his work. It was a joyful reminder of how much creativity, talent, service, and connection already exist within the walls of this building.

Thank you, Alex, for sharing your story with us and for helping make our building a place where art, imagination, and community can flourish.

✨ COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT ✨

Did you know that our building is home to artists, wellness practitioners, recovery groups, educators, mentors, performers, and community builders throughout the week?

This summer we're launching Community Spotlight, a new opportunity to meet some of the remarkable people who share life within our building and neighborhood.

🎭 on June 14 at 10:00 am, we welcome: Alex Church, playwright, director, performer, and founder of Third Space Theater.

These brief conversations will help us learn more about the people whose work contributes to healing, creativity, learning, connection, and community care right here under our roof.

We're excited to celebrate the many ways this building serves as a gathering place for our neighborhood. Bring a friend and stay for the reception afterwards!

Honoring the beloved veterans of our congregation for Memorial Day 🇺🇸❤️

Last Sunday, our prayer table was thoughtfully prepared with photos remembering and celebrating those who have served. In honor of Memorial Day, Pastor Jan shared a meaningful sermon of gratitude, remembrance, and honor for the veterans in our church family. We give thanks for their courage, sacrifice, and faithful presence in our community.
