Worship is a great way to connect with God during this transition home, so we wanted to re-share this year’s Spotify playlist for Royal Servants worship.

What was your favorite song from this summer’s playlist?

We all have that one person (or more) from our team that we laughed hysterically with, tried that weird food with, or cried with.

Sometimes it’s easy to stay connected. You text every day. Like each other’s posts. It’s as if no time has passed since the summer.

Other times it’s hard. Life is distracting between school and work, not to mention your family and friends who have missed you and want to catch up.

So today we challenge you to reach out to that friend from the summer (the more the merrier!)
Check in with them! Ask them how the transition home has been. Ask how school/work is going. Ask them how their quiet times are going.

Whether your summer trip was 2026 or 2006, letting someone know you’re thinking of them is sure to brighten their day!

Remember, Royal Servants is a summer of service for a lifetime of ministry.

We want you to take what you learned and keep living on mission. You can do this in your homes, schools, communities, and churches.

If you aren’t serving at church yet, talk to your pastor (or whoever is in charge of volunteers) this Sunday about where you can start. Pray for the Lord to show you where you can serve in your community.

What’s your favorite area to serve in? Let us know below!

You might have spent a lot of time this summer journaling and reflecting about your experiences, especially during debriefing.

Journaling and reflecting can still be important tools as we continue to walk out our faith journey here at home.

If you haven’t picked up a pen to journal since this summer, take some time this week to do so!
Not sure what to write about? Try one of these prompts.

- What do you miss about the summer?
- How has it felt since returning home?
- What was something you learned this summer but forgot to come back to now that you are home?
- Who did you want to share Jesus with? Have you? What’s stopping you? Write down your plan.
- What are your spiritual goals this fall? (faith books, scripture memorization, quiet time plans).
- Returning to RS next summer? How are you feeling about that? What are some action steps you can take to start preparing for next summer - today?

It’s easy to forget the goals we made over the summer. Life outside of Royal Servants can quickly distract.
We encourage you to go back to your journals and remind yourself of the goals you had.
Even if you are working hard towards your goals, it’s great to remind yourself of the “why” behind them.
And if you aren’t, maybe that’ll be the push you’ve been needing to get started.

Carve out some time during the next couple of days and reflect on what God taught you and put on your heart from your summer trip.

What were you reminded of?
Is there a truth or a rhythm you forgot, but now you’ll begin to implement?
What has God been helping you accomplish since being home?

For some, writing Thank You notes comes naturally. For others, this is difficult to accomplish, and procrastination can often win the day.

If you have written and sent yours out to your supporters, sweet! Way to be on top of things.
If not, we challenge you to make it your goal this weekend to start and/or finish your letters!

Where do you land in regards to your post-summer letters/thank yous? Let us know below!

Need some tips?
Share a list of your favorite moments
Share a story of how you saw God move in you or others
Share a few pictures to show what life was like overseas, or a new friend you made
Be sure to say “Thank You”
If you are typing your letter, add a personal, handwritten note at the bottom of each letter

Your summer footwear has seen some things this summer… Our poor take a beating while hiking through the Himalayan foothills or down the streets of Dublin.
So remember:
- Mix baking soda with water to form a paste
- Bake in the sun
- Wash in the washing machine or kitchen sink

Hopefully that'll get your Chacos back to pre-summer smell 🤣
And if it doesn't work...well…

Hey, Royal Servants Alumni! Let’s do a post-summer check-in!

Many of you are back in the swing of things, like school or work.
Whether you just got home or it’s been a couple of years since you traveled, let’s do a little check-in.

Over the next couple weeks, we’ll be revisiting some of our debriefing topics - let’s just chat about how it’s going! Whether you are on top of it all or you are struggling to implement summer practices into life at home, we are here to connect and help!

Can’t wait to connect with ya’ll!

Welcome home, Royal Servants!

From all those team photos, it looked like a summer you’ll never forget! We hope you grew closer to the Lord, made tons of new friends, and are equipped and ready to share your faith as you adjust to life back at home.

But this adjustment may be harder for some.

Here are a few tips we suggest:

⭐Keep up with your mentor! Tell them all about your summer, the highs and lows.
⭐Text that teammate, keep the friendship alive!
⭐Follow along with the Quiet Times that will be sent to your email over the next month.
⭐Get involved with your church through small groups or youth group.
⭐Re-read your journal and look over pictures from the summer. Remember what God has done!
⭐Look forward to what God will continue to do!
