Volunteer at Oktoberfest—Help Raise $8,000 for Interchange Food Pantry!

The Interchange Food Pantry has an exciting opportunity to raise $8,000 by volunteering at Oktoberfest at the Bavarian Bierhaus! Help us fill every volunteer shift and reach our $8,000 fundraising goal! Choose the shift(s) that work best for you. Volunteers are needed every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout September and the first weekend of October. Oktoberfest begins Friday, September 4, and concludes Sunday, October 4.
This year, Interchange Food Pantry is proud to be the exclusive nonprofit partner of the German-American Festival. For every volunteer hour worked, Interchange receives $20. If we fill every volunteer shift, we will raise approximately $8,000 to support our Healthy Food Initiative, providing healthy, consumer-friendly, and culturally specific food to Milwaukee families experiencing food insecurity. Volunteer shifts are 3 hours, and we need 2 to 6 volunteers for each shift. Volunteers help keep the festival grounds clean by emptying trash receptacles, clearing tables, and assisting with parking.
Volunteers receive:
* A free meal during their shift
* Complimentary soft drinks while volunteering
* One free beer after their shift (for volunteers age 21 and older)
Whether you can volunteer for one shift or several, every hour you give brings us closer to our $8,000 fundraising goal and helps provide healthy, nutritious food to thousands of Milwaukee families.
