Spiritually Offensive: Counter the devil’s attack!

In Mark 5:36, Jesus told the ruler of the synagogue after he was informed his daughter was dead, “Do not be afraid; only believe.” Before fear could take hold, Jesus told the ruler to “only believe!” What a powerful counter to fear!

Professional boxers are taught to “counterpunch.” A counterpunch is one that immediately follows an attack launched by an opponent. When the enemy attacks, you don’t sit back and do nothing. You counter every attack of fear with words of faith found in the Word of God: the more aggressive the attack, the more aggressive the counterpunch.

Are you facing a desperate situation or even a crisis? I encourage you to “only believe.” Because the ruler believed, Jesus raised his daughter from the dead. The Word tells us, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23). Regardless of the situation, never stop believing. Why? All things are possible with God!
