Have you ever thought about Our Lady receiving her son in the Eucharist for the first time?
What would that moment have been like for her to be reunited with her son dwelling within her once again, this time in the Eucharist?
In the article below, Dr. Edward Sri reflects on Pope Saint John Paul II's writing on this event.

COMMENTARY: The Blessed Mother should be our model.

On this solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, we celebrate the profound mystery of the one true God in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Why is today's solemnity so important? Because by celebrating the Trinity, we are reminded of the central mystery of our faith and life.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

On this final day of our novena, we pray for Deacon Alexander Leschisin on the day of his priestly ordination. May God bless him and fill him with abundant graces.
Almighty God, giver of every grace, who apportion every order and assign every office, who remain unchanged, but make all things new, send your Holy Spirit into our midst to make our brothers preparing for ordination ready to offer themselves forever in the ministry of the word, of the altar, and of charity, servants to all.
Grant them wisdom when they are unsure, knowledge when they are afraid, counsel when they are confused, fortitude when they are feeling weak, understanding when they are troubled, piety when they are feeling indifference, fear of you when they are proud, and your protection from every diabolical attack upon their vocation.
Help them to receive the Gospel of Christ: convince them to believe what they read; train them to teach what they believe; strengthen them to practice what they teach.
Hear the prayers of all your faithful servants and in the eternal charity that you have shown us, draw us all to that Heavenly Kingdom where all are made perfectly one at the Eternal Banquet of Christ, the Good Shepherd and Eternal King.
Grant this through Christ, our Lord Amen.

Another beautiful parish visited by our St. Lawrence parishioners!

Here is what Elizabeth Fonder said about their trip!
"Josh and I went to visit my family (a common “vacation”) near the small town of Ghent, MN. The beautiful Catholic church of St. Eloi is always fun to see as we reminisce this is where we got married 3 years ago!"

St. Lawrence/Holy Family Pastorate will be hosting seminarian Ben Ulin this summer. Ben will be helping out in our parish/pastorate beginning next week. Please give him a warm welcome!

By way of introduction, we've asked Ben to share a few words about himself.

Hello everyone! My name is Ben Ulin and I am a seminarian in my 3rd year who is studying for our Diocese. Growing up my family were parishioners at the Cathedral in SIoux Falls and I graduated from O'Gorman in 2023. I am the oldest of 5 children in my family and love spending time with them all whenever I am back from seminary. Some of my hobbies include biking, leather working, and playing piano. I am so looking forward to getting to know all of you this summer in the Holy Family Pastorate and being a part of your community. I hope to spend time with you at Mass, joining your families some time for dinner, and random encounters throughout the Pastorate. God Bless!
