Loved watching our children bring the prayers they wrote, readings they chose, song they practiced, and skit they rehearsed to help lead our congregants in worship. 🥰

Family Fun Game Day and Lunch:

Parents ran, crab walked, and rolled their "hungry hippos" across the room. Kids scrambled to collect balls, squeezed into a parachute bubble, and ran until they took self-selected breaks.

Fun fact: Barna Group found 9 key indicators in faith-forming families. On the list was having fun together. So, go ahead and play--guilt free even when there's a laundry list of other to-do's. You are raising your children in your faith, and perhaps you didn't even know it.

We had a LOT going on Sunday--from helping a fabulous new acolyte, to another run through of a Children's Sunday practice, to giving the children's message, to holding Moving Up's first Bake-off.

What a blessing it was to stand back, look around the Sunday School room, and breathe in the peaceful calm. Each person was actively engaged, helping another, or even asking for helping jobs.

They know where to find things and ask before using them. If we have free time, they don't ask to play basketball--they ask to prayer journal. We even have a new helper job of watering our beautiful but thirsty plant.

What makes a great brain break when the teaching is on the Good Samaritan? A timed task "bandaging" up a broken friend! Even Miss Maddi got in on the action. 😆

Our kids are getting ready for Children's Sunday, March 15th at our 9:00 service. They've chosen their readings, written their prayers, and rehearsed a skit to get us prepped for the sermon.
