These past couple weeks have felt surreal as we've said goodbye to another General of the Faith—our brother, James Robison.
My dad was often compared to James, as their laid-back personalities and preaching styles carried a remarkably similar spirit. Growing up, we regularly watched James on 'LIFE Today', so it was a complete surprise when his son reached out more than twenty years ago while my band, Monsterus, was recording our debut album, 'Zealots in the Land of Nod.'
That connection led to James making a special guest appearance on our song 'The Watchers', opening with a message entitled 'Delivered in the Fire.’ What began as a unique collaboration became a bridge between our ministries, introducing each of us to audiences we may have never otherwise reached.
Thursday (My Birthday) was his memorial service, and my heart goes out to Betty, their children, and the entire LIFE Outreach International family.
