ACTS Homeless Ministry

ACTS Homeless Ministry NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP SERVE ON THE FIRST AND THIRD SATURDAY OF THE MONTH. ALSO NEED DONATIONS LIKE CLOTHES, NON PERISHABLE FOOD,BICYCLES, etc..

On the first and third Saturday of every month we pick up guests with vans and bring them to the Mesa campus of Central and provide them with breakfast, showers, clean clothing, haircuts and a variety of other resources to help and support them. How to Serve:

Our Servant Ministers:

Cook in the kitchen. Take prayer requests and fellowship with the guests. Serve the meal to our guests. Be a shower

attendant in the men's and women's showers. Assemble toiletry bags for men & women. Cut hair for our guests. Sort and hand out clothes. Drive or co-pilot a van. Below is a list of goods regularly needed for the homeless that ACTS Homeless Ministry regularly distributes. Thank you in advance for support the homeless. Any and all donations are appreciated! Clothing:

Men's casual T's - sizes up to 4XL

Men's underwear - M & L, white briefs preferred

VOLUNTEERS: 7:00–10:30 AM - No experience is necessary. Simply arrive at 7:00 AM and meet us in the gymnasium. We’ll walk you through everything and help you find a place to serve.

GUESTS: 8:00–10:30 AM
Everything is completely FREE! Come for a hot breakfast, groceries, clothing, shoes, haircuts, bike repair, basic health support, prayer, encouragement, and more.

No church background required. Everyone is welcome.

At ACTS, we celebrate being able to share love, hope, and acceptance with those in our community who could use a little extra support. ❤️ Today was no exception as people of all backgrounds, ages, and circumstances came together, even under the hot Arizona sun.

If you joined us as a guest today, we were so happy to have you with us. We hope you felt welcomed, cared for, and encouraged, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

A huge thank you to every volunteer, both new and returning, who generously gave your time and poured your hearts into serving others. Your kindness truly makes a difference, and we can’t wait to serve alongside you again.

Our next ACTS outreach is Saturday, August 15.

If you’re a guest, we can’t wait to meet you. 💛

🙌 First time serving?
No experience necessary. Arrive at 7:00 AM, meet us in the gymnasium, and we’ll walk you through everything.

At ACTS, guests are welcomed with practical help, encouragement, and care — and volunteers help make it all possible.

✨ Ways guests are served and volunteers can help:

🍳 Hot breakfast — serve food and welcome guests

👕 Clothing and shoes — sort, organize, and help guests find what they need

🛒 Pantry and groceries — sort food, distribute groceries, and pass out water

🚲 Bicycles — help fix and distribute bikes to guests

👓 Eyeglasses — assist with handing out glasses

💇‍♀️ Haircuts — offer haircuts or help support the station

🩺 Nurses station — assist with basic care and support

🙏 Prayer and encouragement — listen, pray, and offer friendship

💌 Cards of encouragement — write notes to bless and uplift guests

🚌 Bus ministry — help guests with transportation support

🧶 Plarn mats — make sleeping mats from recycled plastic bags
🧹 Cleanup — help reset and clean up after serving

There is a place for every willing heart. 💛

You do not need to know exactly where you fit. Just come willing, and we will help you find a place to serve.
