This Sunday, we had the bittersweet privilege of saying goodbye and sending off Jacob Lewellen as he begins a new chapter of ministry.

For the past two years, Jacob has faithfully served Christ Church as a Wesleyan Fellow on our Discipleship Team, investing in our church and helping others grow in their walk with Jesus. We are incredibly grateful for the ways he has served, led, and been part of our church family.

Now, we’re excited to send Jacob to Decatur, Alabama, where he will step into a new role as a youth pastor. While we’ll miss having him here, we’re grateful to see how God is continuing to call and equip him for ministry.

Jacob, thank you for two wonderful years of faithful ministry at Christ Church. We’re praying for you and cheering you on as you go!

What a weekend! 🙌

We’re celebrating all that God did at Youth Encounter Weekend—the friendships formed, the memories made, and the ways our students encountered Jesus together.

We’re so grateful for every student, leader, and volunteer who made this weekend so special. We can’t wait to see how God continues to move in the lives of this generation!

Let’s Show Up for Overton!

Earlier this summer, Christ Methodist had the opportunity to host the Overton High football team through their preseason football camp and begin a new relationship with these student-athletes.

Now it’s time to cheer them on!

Join us on Thursday, September 3, at 7:00 PM as Overton takes on Oakhaven in its first home game of the season at Halle Stadium.

Let’s fill the stands, support these young men, and continue showing them that their Christ Methodist family is in their corner. Go Wolverines!

Joy Cafe is back! ❤️

Beginning Tuesday, September 1, stop by for good food, friendly faces, and plenty of J❤️Y! This fall, we’re adding new menu options from Paradise Cafe, including Chicken Caesar and Chicken Salad wraps, plus granola and yogurt.

And beginning September 8, we’re introducing Casting Cares—an hour of encouragement for moms and caregivers during Joy Cafe. Each week will offer Scripture, conversation, and hope for those navigating the joys and challenges of caring for others.
