Memphis is a Miracle. It's as true now as it ever has been, despite the temptation to despair in the volatile political environment around us. Pastor Jamin wrapped up his Eastertide sermon series with the simple truth that: Memphis is a Miracle. Reflecting on Paul's experience with the Athenians in Acts 17: 22-31, we can remember that we are so much more than simplistic definitions. That awareness allows us to participate in the miracle all around us.

As Pastor Jamin preached this week, Memphis is a Miracle. It was fitting that for Mother's Day, we were able to celebrate the miracle of Memphis together by gathering diaper donations for the Immigrant Pantry!
Many thanks to Kelsey Patterson for spearheading this project and delivering the items to the pantry! We are so grateful to everyone who donated to this important cause, supporting our immigrant neighbors.

Have you noticed something new at the corner of S McLean and Peabody? It's the same historic building, but the sign is new, and so are the owners! We'd like to officially introduce you to Christ City Church.

After tending to the building for over 100 years, Central Christian Church generously passed ownership to Christ City in 2025. We are so thankful to be the caretakers of this beautiful space and have begun to breathe new life into it–through renovations, repairs, and through our growing community of believers.

Join us at 531 S McLean on any Sunday at 10:30 am to experience worship together.

They have been meeting monthly for the past two semesters and have experienced so much through that time together. Each month they walk through a list of guided questions designed to encourage openness, vulnerability, and feedback that invites them to see new sides of themselves.

Many thanks to Ron Davis from for coming on Sunday to share more about the upcoming elections! He shared helpful resources, from where to learn who is on the ballot, how to verify that you are registered, and how we can all support the project of democracy in Memphis! We learned about how this election focuses on local positions that impact our lives deeply. At the end, we had the opportunity to write postcards to neighbors to encourage others to go to the polls.
