Harvest Presbyterian Church of Medina Harvest is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. We are happy to share opportunities to learn about the God we serve and grow in His grace.

As your neighbors in Medina County, it is our privilege to serve our community. This fb page is for you, because it is the place we post community events, and helpful information. We hope you will join us! Our service is "traditional" - following a reformed liturgy, classic and modern hymns & praise songs (with piano and sometimes keyboard, acoustic guitar, trombone, or other classic instrument.).

We celebrate communion once a month, and enjoy selections from our worship, bell and children's choirs September-May. June-August we have occasional special music from members of our worship choir. God doesn't just save Ruth.
He places her in the lineage of King David.
And ultimately in the lineage of Jesus Christ—the Messiah who would save people from every tribe, tongue, and nation.

What began with human brokenness became part of God's redemptive plan.
What Lot's daughters did according to their own plan, God redeemed for His plan.

That's the story of Ruth.
And that's the story of the gospel.

God was solving the problem before anyone knew there was a problem.

Years before Israel asked for a king, God was already working through an unlikely outsider named Ruth. Years before anyone anticipated the Messiah, God was already preparing the family line that would lead to Jesus Christ.

"Before they could ask for the blessing, God was already at work in that blessing."

That's the beauty of God's providence. He's never reacting. He's never scrambling. He's already at work, even when we can't see it.

"What do we do when life seems to be hanging by a thread?"

Ruth 4 reminds us that "the Lord provides even before we know our need."

Naomi thought she was empty.
Ruth was an outsider from Moab.
Yet God was already working behind the scenes, providing "the right Redeemer" and ultimately pointing to "the eternal Redeemer."

"The tiny thread on which everything seems to hang isn't really in danger of breaking at all. The Lord's strong, loving hands are securing that thread and preserving us even when it seems hopeless."

If you're walking through a season of uncertainty, remember: God's providence is often at work long before we can see it.

Life doesn't always make sense in the moment. Ruth 4 reminds us that God is often working behind the scenes long before we see what He's doing.

The same God who redeemed Naomi's sorrow and Ruth's uncertainty has provided a greater Redeemer in Jesus Christ. Because of His finished work, we can rest in God's providence even when the future feels unclear.
