Sharing a story from our friends at Love INC of Cuyahoga County.

Simple support can go a long way. Brianna is a single mom, who split her time between caring for her 9-month-old baby and acting as caretaker for her grandfather. When her grandfather, who helped Brianna with bills, passed away, Brianna not only lost a dear loved one but a source of financial support.

Now needing to stretch her budget to make ends meet, Brianna reached out to Love INC for items for her baby. We connected her with Baby Depot, a clothing ministry for moms in need hosted by Parma Park Church of God. Volunteers at the Baby Depot assisted her in picking out clothes and supplies worth $484 for her baby.

With your help, we provided Brianna with the support she needed to care for her child in a time of transition and grief.

Patricia is a senior citizen on a fixed income. She has lived in her apartment for more than ten years. Her landlord recently increased her rent by $100/month because of inflation’s impact on his costs. This change put a great strain on Patricia’s budget. With the increase, rent and utilities was 88% of her monthly income. This left her with little to cover groceries, phone and internet, or unexpected expenses.

Love INC was able to pay a portion of Patricia’s rent and provided her with referrals for subsidized housing.

She said: “I don’t know what I would have done without your help. Thank you very much!”
