Providence Presbyterian Church (PCA)

Providence Presbyterian Church (PCA) Faithful to the Scriptures, True to the Reformed Faith, Obedient to the Great Commission.

Our mission:
In keeping with the Great Commission, Providence strives to be a transformed Christian community, centered in the worship of God and bearing witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord. As Christ’s disciples, we endeavor to build vibrant lives, strong families, and a fellowship in which members care for and love one another and together seek the well-being of our city, state, and w

orld. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we seek to develop a vital preaching and teaching ministry aimed at drawing men and women to Christ; healing, comforting and nurturing them in the faith; equipping them for service, and deploying them effectively into all walks of life. We are committed to discipling and encouraging every member of Providence to passionately and intentionally pursue the preeminence of Jesus Christ.

Thus all men, from their own hearts and from the creation all around them, know that there is a God. But as the catechism ominously notes, this knowledge is not sufficient or effectual to bring any man to salvation.

For “In Him we live and move and have our being”; as even some of your own poets have said, “For we are indeed His offspring.”Acts 17:28ESV Question 2 of the Westminster Larger Catechism asks, “How doth it appear that there is a God?” It gives the answer, “The very light of nature in m...

What an incredible week at VBS 2026! The halls of PPC echoed with laughter, joyful hearts, and new friendships as children journeyed through Emerald Crossing, discovering the life of David and the timeless comfort of Psalm 23.
Through every lesson, song, craft, and game, they were reminded of one beautiful truth: The Lord is our Shepherd, and He faithfully leads and cares for His children. What a blessing to watch young hearts grow in faith!

Thank you to every volunteer, leader, and family who helped make VBS 2026 a week our children will never forget!

Justification is not a work done in us but it is a sentence pronounced on us. Justification by faith alone is simply shorthand for justification by Christ alone. For Jesus Christ did all of the work necessary for us to be justified, and by faith we are united to Christ so that all of our sin and guilt is ascribed to Him and all of His righteousness in good works’ obedience is accounted to us.

To God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.Jude 25NKJ Question 196 of the Westminster Larger Catechism asks, “What doth the conclusion of the Lord's prayer teach us?” It gives the answer, “The conclusion of the Lord's prayer (whic...

You might be thinking “Arguing with God?” what kind of a title is that? The title is striking because we usually think of arguments negatively as disagreements expressed loudly or angrily. However, historically an argument is simply a collection of reasons or propositions put forward in support of a certain point of view.

Put Me in remembrance; let us contend together; state your case, that you may be acquitted.Isaiah 43:26NKJV This morning we begin to study Westminster Larger Catechism Question 196, which asks, “What doth the conclusion of the Lord's prayer teach us?” The first part of the answer states: “The ...
