On June 11, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. On June 11, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

You can participate by praying the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus from June 3-11. This Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus draws its daily devotions from the Litany of the Sacred Heart. Each day reflects on the wisdom of saints and pontiffs on the Sacred Heart and offers opportunities for prayer and action, framed by Pope Francis’ encyclical Dilexit Nos (He Loved Us) and Pope Leo XIV’s apostolic exhortation Dilexi Te (I Have Loved You).

Enjoy a day of summer fun at the Moon Township Park & Splash Pad. We’ll have snacks and juice boxes for all our friends who come hang out with us. Come play in the park, then hop onto the splash pad when it opens at 11:00 AM! AGP has chartered a bus to transport parishioners to this event. The bus will depart from the St. Malachy Church parking lot promptly at 11:00 AM and return at approximately 3:15 PM. If you would like to reserve a seat, please register at https://archangelgabrielparish.org/corpuschristi or call the Parish Office at 412-787-2140. Registration is limited to 45 people. There is no cost to attend.

Archangel Gabriel Parish will host Dr. Alex Plato, Professor of Philosophy at Franciscan University of Steubenville, on Monday, June 29, at 6:30 PM in St. Mary, Help of Christians Church (1011 Church Ave, McKees Rocks, PA 15136-3609). Dr. Plato will present Infinity and Trinity: Where Faith and Reason Meet, a discussion of the convergence of faith and reason. He will examine two of the greatest thinkers of the Franciscan Tradition: Blessed John Duns Scotus and St. Bonaventure. There is no charge to attend, but registration is requested at https://archangelgabrielparish.org/speaker.
