On June 11, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

You can participate by praying the Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus from June 3-11. This Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus draws its daily devotions from the Litany of the Sacred Heart. Each day reflects on the wisdom of saints and pontiffs on the Sacred Heart and offers opportunities for prayer and action, framed by Pope Francis’ encyclical Dilexit Nos (He Loved Us) and Pope Leo XIV’s apostolic exhortation Dilexi Te (I Have Loved You).

You can find the Novena and more information on the Consecration of the Nation at https://archangelgabrielparish.org/novenashj.

We hope you were able to enjoy Pentecost Sunday! If you joined our parish Pentecost Luncheon we think you’ll agree it was a great gathering of ministries from across Archangel Gabriel Parish. We were happy to be on the grills for the clergy team providing burgers and dogs.

If you didn’t make it to the luncheon, we still wish you the many blessings and gifts of the Holy Spirit on this very meaningful day!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Today, we honor and celebrate Mary, our Blessed Mother and the Mother of Jesus Christ, along with all mothers — those with us today and those who have gone before us into eternal life.

Mother’s Day is a beautiful reminder of the love, sacrifice, strength, and faith that mothers bring into our families and communities each day. Through their compassion, guidance, and unwavering support, mothers reflect God’s love in countless ways.

As Knights of Columbus, we especially recognize the dignity and gift of motherhood and give thanks for the women who nurture, encourage, and inspire us throughout our lives. Whether it is your mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, godmother, or another woman who has been a source of love and care, take time today to let them know how much they are appreciated.

Please join us in praying for all mothers — living and deceased — and asking Our Blessed Mother to watch over and protect them always.

Knight's Prayer to Mary

Mary, Queen of the Knights, guide all the activities of our Order. Keep us true to our pledge to extend the kingship of your divine son on earth. Through your intercession, win for us the grace ever to exemplify in our public and private lives, the virtues which should characterize those especially dedicated to the service of God’s Kingdom. Make us always aware that as your Knights we are constantly observed, our faith judged, and our Order appreciated. Accept, O Mary, this renewed pledge of loyalty and devotion of your Sons, the Knights of Columbus. Amen.

Blessed feast day of St. Joseph the Worker!

Work does more than build the world around us. It shapes our character. Through work we learn perseverance, responsibility, and humility. St. Joseph shows us that faithful labor forms the soul.

St. Joseph, example of humility, help us to approach our work with patience and perseverance. May our efforts help build God’s kingdom. Amen.
