We live in a culture that wants everything instantly, but some things still require seeking God with hunger, patience, and sincerity. When the Holy Spirit fills your life, He begins to change your speech, your heart, your mind, and your spirit.

Maybe what you need is to get back into God’s presence and let Him fill you again. “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6. Watch Sunday’s message, “Be a Witness,” on youtube.com/tjmcbrideministries–link in bio!

One of the dangers in modern Christianity is reducing the Holy Spirit to an experience instead of understanding His purpose in our lives. Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me.” The Holy Spirit was not given so we could simply say we had a moment in church. He was given so that we could become effective witnesses for Jesus Christ.

A witness reflects what they have seen, heard, and experienced. That means our lives should point people back to Jesus. The way we love, forgive, serve, speak, and endure should reveal Him to the world around us. But the truth is, we cannot do this in our own strength. Flesh gets weak. Emotions fluctuate. Discipline alone will only carry you so far. We need supernatural power from the Holy Spirit to help us live in a way that honors God.

People are searching for something real. They do not need our opinions. They need to encounter Jesus through the way we live. Pray today and ask God to fill you again with the power to be a witness everywhere He sends you. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

One of the greatest spiritual disciplines is remembering what God has already said. There will be moments in life when your feelings try to become your source of truth. You may feel abandoned, overlooked, or even uncertain about how things are going to work out. But feelings were never designed to lead your life. God's Word was. The Bible says, "For we walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). Faith is anchored in something greater than emotion. Faith is anchored in the promises of God.

When challenges arise, I encourage you to rehearse God's promises more than you rehearse your problems. If you are facing sickness, remember His promise: "I am the Lord that healeth thee" (Exodus 15:26). If you are facing financial pressure, remember His promise: "My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19). If anxiety has been weighing on your mind, remember His promise: "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you" (Isaiah 26:3).

Today, choose to remember what God said and let His promises strengthen your faith.

Feelings change from day to day, but the promises of God remain the same. The power of remembrance is learning to recall what God said when circumstances try to make you forget. Hold on to the promise. God has not changed His mind about you. Watch "The Power of Rememberance" on youtube.com/tjmcbrideministries

Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “Ye shall receive power… and ye shall be witnesses unto me.” We need power to live holy. Power to love difficult people. Power to stand firm when cultural pressures us to compromise. Power to represent Jesus well in every area of our lives.

The world needs believers who actually reflect Jesus. Ask God to fill you with power again. Watch Sunday’s message, “Be a Witness,” on youtube.com/tjmcbrideministries

There was a time in church when people did not rush the presence of God. We would gather around the altar and stay there praying, worshipping, and seeking the Lord until something shifted in our spirit. The problem today is that many people want the power of God without spending time in His presence. We want quick inspiration, quick encouragement, and quick results, but spiritual depth is still developed through prayer, surrender, and intimacy with God.

When the Holy Spirit truly fills your life, He begins to take over every area of your life. Your speech changes. Your thinking changes. Your desires change. Your heart becomes more sensitive to God and more aligned with His will. Acts 1:8 says, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” That power is for daily living. It is what strengthens us to overcome temptation, endure trials, love people well, and remain faithful to God.

Some of us need to return to the place of prayer. We need to seek God again until our hearts are refreshed by His presence. God still fills hungry people.

So many people are frustrated with where they are, but they keep putting off the work, the consistency, and the obedience needed to move forward. Procrastination not only delays tasks, but it also delays calling, your impact, and the generations connected to your obedience. No more delay and excuses. What God placed in you deserves movement. There are people sitting on gifts, ideas, businesses, ministries, creativity, and solutions that could change their family’s future, yet procrastination keeps everything locked away. Proverbs 12:24 says, “The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man will be put to forced labor.” The person who keeps showing up, keeps building, keeps learning, keeps obeying, eventually steps into influence and authority.

But procrastination keeps people trapped in cycles God didn’t create or call them to. There is more in you than what you are currently producing. Some people spend years working under systems built by diligent people while never developing the consistency to build what God placed inside of them. But this is the season to change that. Stop putting off what God called you to do. Stop shrinking your vision. Stop delaying your assignment. Take the limits off and move in faith.
