Eighteen courageous leaders of China’s largest underground church, Zion Church, were arrested this week as the government intensifies its crackdown on faithful believers boldly standing for Christ. Though facing trials and the threat of imprisonment, these servants of God shine as powerful testimonies that His Church cannot be shaken or silenced. This wave of arrests is the strongest since 2018, but Scripture reminds us that persecution is not the end—it’s a sign we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus (John 16:33). God promises ultimate victory over every enemy. No weapon formed against His Church shall prosper, and more persecution only means more advancement of the gospel!

Hidden in the quiet halls of the Ismailia Museum, the El Arish Stone stands as a mysterious black granite monument discovered on a farm in 1887. What once served as a simple cattle trough was later revealed to hold 74 lines of ancient hieroglyphs. These inscriptions describe incredible natural events, including fierce storms, darkness, and even the parting of the sea, offering a glimpse into how the ancient Egyptians recorded extraordinary occurrences.

Some historians find fascinating connections between the stone and the biblical story of the Exodus. The text mentions a “Prince of the Desert,” powerful storms, and a group of people leaving Egypt referred to as “evildoers.” It even names a place called Pekharti, which closely resembles Pi-Hahiroth, the location where the sea was parted according to the Book of Exodus. These details suggest the stone could preserve an Egyptian perspective on events often considered myth or legend.

Whether seen as mythology, cultural memory, or historical record, the El Arish Stone continues to captivate archaeologists and history enthusiasts alike.

Urgent Prayer Request:

At 9:30am today, I will be preaching at a church in the country of Pakistan via a Zoom Call. Christians are persecuted, tortured, & killed in that country for just simply being christian and not Islamic. Pray God does something wonderful in the service.
