Hello Yall. It has been a long time since I have posted here. Much going on but with all that is going on I have still preached every Sunday. Some of you may or may not know my cancer after being surgically removed started to grow again and has continued to grow. It has metastasized but slowed down for a moment. At it's rate of growth it will be in my bones in 15 months. There is no cure and all the treatments are as bad or worse than the cancer itself. I have received many prayers from many brothers and sisters in Christ. I am thankful for the prayer warriors and their faith. God may still answer yalls prayers for my complete healing. But God's will be done. It is His call. Until God calls me home I will continue to preach the Gospel and the salvation which only comes through Jesus and by Jesus and that steadfast living we must maintain to reach our Heavenly Father, yall know, the crown that Paul talked about. But there is something more important than my cancer and that is the scare going through the State and country with this coronavirus. Christians must not fear this "pandemic". Fear only allows satan to use us and fear only allows the government to control us. We are not subjects of satan or subjects of a government who has turned it's back on God. We are being told we cannot meet in groups of 250 or more. Our own governor has suggested we not go to church. This is not only a violation of our Constitution but a violation to the pact we made with God when we accepted Jesus Christ as our only Lord and only Savior and was immersed being buried and resurrected with Jesus Christ in newness of life. No good has ever come from denying the spread of the Gospel. No government has the right to stop the Word from being preached or God from being worshiped through Jesus Christ or hindered in any way shape or form. It seems our government in it's worldly wisdom is trying to hinder or stop our worship. The government can only succeed if we grow faint in heart, if we allow the grips of fear to take hold. Stand your ground for Jesus Christ. Always stand up for the Gospel. If the roads get blocked and our travel gets stopped from our rightful place to worship then our homes become our rightful place of worship, for reading the Word, for communion for baptism, for praising in song and for prayers. Always remember who you are in Jesus Christ and act accordingly. We are seeing posted the new rules and regulations under emergency powers acts at the national level, State level and the city and county levels....besides travel being limited or stopped communications will also be limited or stopped. We still have our Scriptures. Regardless of what happens do not stop the Word from being presented with your mouth and by your deeds. As I pointed out in today's sermon at church Paul continued to preach and lift others up despite his life being in danger. For some of us it is getting close to passing the piton and for others it is time to take that piton and keep running the great race. It is time to pick which master you will follow.....the one who leads to eternal death or the one that leads to eternal life through Jesus Christ. Jesus gave you his life...what will you give Him. "as for me and my house". Yall have a great week.
