Everyone LOVES Getting Mail at Camp!!
If you’ve ever been to Camp you know the joy of receiving mail. We hope that you will take time to send cards and letters to your favorite Camper, Conferee, Counselor, CIT, Director, and/or Staffer this summer.

And don’t forget that sometimes mail can be a little slower these days, so be sure to get your cards and letters in the mail early. (Mail for Grandparents Camp and Otter Camp should be mailed NOW!)

There will be a Congregational Delegate Informational Session on June 9, 2026, at 7pm CT. Join us to learn more about the role of delegates at General Assembly. Participants will gain a better understanding of delegate responsibilities, the importance of representation in the life of the church, and what to expect as part of the General Assembly process. Register in advance for this meeting. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the informational session.

On Sunday morning the Rev. Paul Bomeli was installed as Pastor of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Wapakoneta. Our Regional Minister, Rev. Allen Harris, co-officiated the installation service with the Rev. Don Giesmann, Bridge Association Minister of the Northwest Association of the United Church of Christ Heartland. Conference. The Rev. Morgan Wickizer was guest preacher for the occasion. The Chair of the Search Committee was Melanie Webb. A celebration luncheon followed the service.

On Saturday afternoon, May 30, the Rev. Michelle L. Dixon was installed as the Pastor of Summit Christian Church in Dayton. This was a historic moment as she is the first woman serving in this position in the congregation. The service was officiated by Rev. Thomas Barnes, Regional Elder for District 8/12 and the installation liturgy was led by Rev. Allen Harris, our Regional Pastor and President. Elder Signoria McClure was Chair of the Search Committee. Evangelist Tina Mobley preached the Word. A celebration dinner followed the service. Rev. Dixon has served as Interim Pastor for the last few years.

On Tuesday, May 19th, members of Team 1 of the Commission on Ministry met at Bethany Christian Church of Cleveland for the final meeting with Min. Erika Harris on her path towards ordination. After reviewing her credentials, including her work at Lexington Theological Seminary, from which she will graduate in June, the Commission unanimously approved Erika for ordination!

Senior Pastor of Bethany Christian Church is the Rev. Dr. Robin Hedgeman, who, along with members of her staff and leaders of the congregation hosted the meeting with grace and abundance. Chair of the COM is Rev. Chris McCreight and Team 1 Chair is Rev. Cynthia Klingemier.

Erika’s ordination is planned for Sunday, October 4 at 2:30 PM at Bethany Christian Church in Cleveland. All are invited!

May Clergy Conversation Call - TODAY!
Wednesday, May 27th at 10am

Our next Clergy Conversation Call will be today, Wednesday, May 27 at 10 a.m. All clergy in or related to the Christian Church in Ohio are welcome.

These regular calls are a way for us to stay connected, to learn from and to support one another, and to share ideas, resources, questions, and information. They are an informal time of sharing and to get up to date with what is happening in the Regional Church, but if you would like to present something more formally, please reach out to Rev. Harris directly and you and he can talk about how to shape that.

Currently future Clergy Conversation Calls are scheduled for the fourth Wednesday (except for December) of each month at 10 a.m.
