We had an awesome Summer and we want to celebrate together.  Join us for Sunset Celebration, September 20th, from 4:00-7:00 out at Sunset Bible Camp.  We’ll have an inflatable, yard games (like Corn-hole, can jam, and gaga ball), the zip-line will be open (4:00-5:15), we’ll have dinner and close the night with some worship and celebration.
The flow of the night will be:
4:00-5:15ish Hangout
5:15/30 Dinner
6:15/6:30-7:00 Worship At Campfire, 2026 Recap Celebration, Promote 2027 Dates and 50th Anniversary Party

Dear Christian Friends,

We are thankful for your encouragement and support of Sunset Bible Camp. We completed another successful summer season. This year, 196 campers and sponsors attended High School camp and there were 6 baptisms. There were 348 campers and sponsors for Middle School week and 7 baptisms. WOW! Both High School and Middle School’s theme was “Gravitate” from the book of James. James 4:8 “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” They raised over $2504 for Micah Foreman with Scriptures in Use. Camp 45 had 236 campers and sponsors and there were 3 baptisms. Camp 23 had 160 campers and sponsors. These camps’ theme was “Sunset Park” and their goal was to Defend the Faith. They raised $1110 for Creation Truth Foundation. What a summer! Our kitchen crew poured incredible heart and energy into keeping everyone fueled and happy cooking over 300 pounds of roast beef, serving up more than 10,000 meals, and baking over 2,200 fresh cookies. Every plate was served with care, and the rest of the season was just as wonderful. The total number of baptisms at camp was 34. God is so good!

We made some fantastic upgrades to the Canteen this year and a new refrigerator and freezer were added there. We also fixed the wood in the climbing wall deck and treated all the wood. We bought large fans and batteries to keep the zipline workers cool. Earlier this year, we tested out a robotic lawn mower, and it has worked beautifully! To help free up our time and keep the property looking its best, our goal is to add two commercial robot mowers to the rotation this year. Thanks to some generous support already, we have officially purchased the first one and have received partial funding toward the second! Each commercial unit costs $7,000. If you would like to partner with us to help fund the rest of this project, we would be so grateful for your support in keeping Sunset beautiful.

The next Sunset Celebration is scheduled for September 20th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. We are looking forward to having you join us at camp and dinner will be provided.

Hey Sunset Bible Camp Fam, Campers, Parents, Alum...a month from now, September 20th, Sunset is having “Sunset Celebration”— a chance to come hangout at camp, play some games, do the zipline, have some dinner together and then end the night with some worship and celebrating what God is doing out at Sunset Bible Camp. The event is free, we just ask that you RSVP, so we have a headcount for dinner.
Help us by promoting this event at your churches, or on your social media pages. And those of you that have a Sunday Night Study, Small Group, Youth Group or Kids Group, we just ask that you hit pause that night and bring your group out.

A couple of “Save The Dates” we want you to know about: Sunset Celebration Sept. 20 (a chance to celebrate what God is doing at Sunset); and Sunset’s Golden Hour! A 50th Anniversary celebration & reunion on April 18 of 2027!!! Put these dates in your calendar 🗓️ now cause we’d love to have you celebrate with us.
