Below is the 8 successful tips for fundraising!
8 TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISING
1. TRUST GOD
DO NOT LET MONEY BE AN OPTION FOR NOT GOING. This is a great opportunity to see God move through something you are believing him for. Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
God is so tremendously faithful, and I know that if this is His will for you to go, it’ll be his bill! He will make a way where it seems like there is no way.
2. GET STARTED EARLY
The longer you wait to start raising money, the more stressful it gets. Trust me, you want to start early.
3. PLAN AHEAD
Personally plan monthly/weekly ways to reach out about fundraising. Whether that be on Facebook, Instagram, or doing bake sales. We will be doing monthly corporate fundraisers, but it will also be up to you to get out of your comfort zone to raise money for the trip!
4. WRITE LETTERS
This is the BEST way to get in a lot of money. Sharing your heart about this amazing trip with people you know and love is a great way to raise funds. You don’t have to just send it to family, send them to your doctors, teachers, co-workers, neighbors, etc.. Also, signing the letter with your own personal signature adds a personal touch to let them know you care.
5. FOLLOW-UP
After sending thoughtful letters, reach out to them and ask them if they happened to receive the letter. This is where the percentages of you getting money really increases because you are showing them how much you care about going on this trip. Also, build good conversation with them, don’t just ask for money; asking them if they need prayer for anything is a great way to give back to them whether or not they decide to donate.
6. SOCIAL MEDIA
Take advantage of all social media. Consistently post ways for people to donate (mail order, cash-app, Venmo, etc.) and your heart for the trip. Help people see how excited you are about this trip. See the page for images that you could share about the trip.
7. WORK WHAT YOU GOT
If you are an artist, make some paintings and sell them! If you are good at photography, offer a photoshoot for a certain cost. Use this opportunity to not only trust that God will move, but use the gifts and talents God has given you to see that miracle happen! It’s spring, a lot of people could use help with cleaning up their yard! Ask for donations by the hour, or for the job itself. (Post on social media or go door to door).
8. REMEMBER TRUST GOD
He is forever faithful, and he NEVER changes. He will give you new and creative ideas for fundraising and he will give you the courage and motivation to raise the money. We are so excited and expectant to see how God provides the finances for you to go on this trip.
**SIDE NOTE**
Lisa’s House Ministries policy is to never go door to door alone. Always the buddy system.
