Calvary Chapel of Manitowoc is a non-denominational Christian church that believes the Bible is inspired by God, infallible, authoritative and inerrant in the original writings. Because of that, we place great emphasis upon teaching the Word of God verse-by-verse so that God may instruct us in our walk with Him and how we can truly worship Him. We believe that there is only one God who is eternall
y existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory. The purpose of Calvary Chapel of Manitowoc is to help people attain a meaningful relationship with God and with others in an environment of love, acceptance and forgiveness - equipping them to do the same. This is done through believing in and receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We grow by going through the Word of God and learning how to apply the truths of God to our lives. We also believe that personal and corporate prayer is important in our lives and the remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf, by participating in the Lord’s Supper together. We believe that God’s Word empowered by God’s Spirit brings people to saving faith as Paul tells us in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”
Calvary Chapel is located at 1208 South 10th Street in Manitowoc, and we hold our Sunday morning services at 10:00 am and our Thursday evening Bible study at 7:00 pm.
