Each month, the cohort learns from a different spiritual guide, and then Nina holds space to reflect and process and discern next steps. The first Cohort has been incredibly meaningful…and we’re thrilled to begin a new one. Interested?

Last week I (Aaron) shared a personal reflection on why the Pastors, Priests and Guides community brings me so much hope these days. Less of a “promo” and more of a testimony. I don’t need a pep rally for Jesus…but I also don’t need post-hope cynicism. Or maybe I need a little bit of both held in holy tension! Possibility AND lament. Letting go AND holding on. Naming the problem AND whole-heartedly living into the solution. Humbly consenting to every part of Reality.

Thank you for co-creating this space over the last few years. Sincerely. Whether you’ve been on retreat or connecting from afar, thank you for holding this space with your fellow siblings. May we never pretend things are okay. And together, through Christ and in the power of the Spirit, may we never give up on God’s dream for our lives, for our churches, for our neighbors, for our enemies, and for the whole world.

He’ll guide us with stories and love for the city…by General Theological Seminary…on The Highline…to Little Island on the Hudson…and to dinner at Chelsea Market. Learn more at our website.

Meet Julia and Dr Rev Michael DeLashmutt…aka “The Potter and the Priest”!

Immediately after the One-Day retreat in NYC, twelve of us have the opportunity to have a joyfully creative contemplative experience with our hands called “Fabricandi Divina”. Julia and will guide a 90-minute practice with clay in their pottery studio near the church. If your schedule permits, please don’t miss this! It was a beautiful experience last year.

Rev Michael’s thesis is this: “Embodied practices like pottery can help re-form the imagination. They slow us down. They engage the senses. They insist on cooperation with elemental forces. Clay, quite literally, calls us back to earth.”

At the end of the NYC retreat on September, join us for two optional experiences to keep the day going.

The first is a fun, creative, contemplative experience with our hands called “Fabricandi Divina”. Julia and Dr Rev Michael DeLashmutt will guide a 90 minute practice with clay in their pottery studio near the church. Learn more and register at our website! (Only space for 12 people)

The second is a casual walking tour through Chelsea with Jonathan Merritt.
