Being filled with the spirit.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.

Exodus 16:4

The Iseralites were fed manna from God. They were to gather it daily. If they tried to gather it for more than one day it would spoil. This was true, except on the day before the Sabbath at which time they were to gather two days worth in order that they might rest and worship on the sabbath.

I believe that is God's plan for us being filled with His Spirit.

It is a daily filling that we receive as we read His word and talked to Him in prayer. We, as His people, are empty each morning and we need to draw near Him daily to be filled with His Spirit.

If we do our part, drawing near Him, asking Him and focus on His word daily, He will fill us to over flowing with His Spirit daily. It is His promise and God always keeps his promise to His children.

God made us with a longing for something more than this world can give us. We try to fill that void with the things of this world and just end up empty.

Do you feel empty with a longing for something more? Draw near to the Lord. Draw near to him through prayer, through his word, and through church, worshipping him with his people. Let him fill you and you will feel "more alive" than you ever have before.

He loves you. He died for you. He is waiting for you....
