ROOTS at MFMC

Our Manchester First Methodist Church church family has been incredibly generous in supporting the ROOTS at MFMC & Reveal at MFMC Amazon Wish List, and we are so thankful! Because of your generosity, we've already been able to check off so many items that will help create welcoming, engaging spaces for our children and students.

As we continue preparing for this ministry year, we'd love for you to take a look at our Amazon Wish List to see if there's an item you'd like to help provide. There are still several important needs, including Bibles, a reading rug for our K-1 classroom, outdoor games, and other supplies that will directly impact our ministry each week.

You may also notice a few items that seem a little unexpected, like poster frames and Keurig coffee makers. The poster frames will allow us to display and protect the Lord's Prayer, the Beatitudes, and the Ten Commandments throughout our ministry spaces. One Keurig will be placed in our volunteer workroom as a simple way to encourage and thank those who faithfully serve, while the other will be used in the REVEAL room, where something as simple as sharing a cup of coffee can help build relationships and create opportunities for meaningful conversations between students and leaders.

We're also searching for a few larger items that do not have to be new—just in good, working condition! If you have a full-size ping pong table, air hockey table, or foosball table that you'd be willing to donate, we'd love to give it a new home. These games aren't just for fun—they help create natural opportunities for students to connect with one another and with caring adults who are investing in their lives. (Although we're pretty sure the leaders will have to let the students win every once in a while!)

We can't wait for one of our favorite Sundays of the year!

This Sunday, our ROOTS at MFMC and Reveal at MFMC families will worship together during our 10:55 AM service. There will be no Next Gen programming as we celebrate Communion together as families before ending the service with a special Backpack Blessing for all students, teachers, administrators, and school staff.

As a new school year begins, we want every student and educator to know they are loved, supported, and covered in prayer.

Bring your backpack, invite a friend, and join us as we pray over the year ahead. We can't wait to see our ROOTS and REVEAL families together this Sunday!

It's almost time for one of our favorite Sundays of the year... Backpack Blessing Sunday!

This Sunday at 10:55 AM, we invite every student, college student, teacher, administrator, and school staff member to join us as we pray over the upcoming school year.

This week, there will be no Next Gen programming so families can worship together. We'll celebrate Communion as a church family, and at the end of the service, we'll invite everyone involved in education to come forward with their backpacks for a special blessing.

Whether you're heading to preschool, kindergarten, high school, college, or back into the classroom as an educator, we want to surround you with prayer as you begin a new school year.

Bring your backpack. Bring your family. Invite your friends, neighbors, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Let's fill the altar and begin this school year together, trusting God for all that He has in store.

What a great night at our ROOTS at MFMC Pool Side Chill Out! ☀️🏊🍕

There’s just something about pizza, a pool, and great fellowship that makes for an awesome evening! We loved spending time together, laughing, swimming, and making memories before the school year gets into full swing.

A huge thank you to the Thorington family for graciously opening your home and hosting us. We are so thankful for your generosity and hospitality!

We had an incredible time, and we already can’t wait for the next one! 🌊

What an incredible day! Our Next Gen Car Wash Fundraiser was a huge success, and we are so thankful for every person who came out, had a vehicle washed, volunteered, donated, prayed, shared our posts, or simply encouraged our students. Your support means more than you know!

Our ROOTS kids are joining forces with Reveal at MFMC for this year's Manchester First Methodist Church Next Generation Car Wash, and we'd love to see our church family and community come out to support them!

Stop by on Saturday, July 18, from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM and let our students wash your vehicle. Every donation helps create opportunities for our children and students to learn, grow, and build lasting friendships throughout the year.

🌊 The Poolside Chill Out is Almost Here! ☀️
