Welcome Bishop Jennifer Dee!

Today, Bishop Jennifer Dee begins her ministry as bishop of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod!

God’s Work Our Hands Sunday is coming up on September 13th.

💛 What is God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday?

God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday is an annual day of service when Lutheran congregations across the country step outside the walls of the church to serve their neighbors and communities.

It’s a reminder that God is already at work in the world—and that each of us is called to be part of that work through simple acts of love, kindness, and service.

God’s work. Our hands. Together in service to our neighbors. 💛

💛 How Will You Serve?

God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday isn’t only about serving together—it’s also an invitation to look around and discover a way you can make a difference.

Help a neighbor with a project around the house. Bake cookies or treats for local first responders. Write a note or card thanking a veteran. Visit someone who may be lonely or homebound. Pick up litter in your neighborhood. Donate food to a local pantry. Bring a meal to someone going through a difficult time. Offer to run an errand for an older neighbor. Thank a teacher, healthcare worker, or community volunteer.

Your act of service doesn’t have to be big or complicated. Find something meaningful, lend your hands, and share God’s love right where you are.

Your child is invited to join us at Vacation Bible School! Day 5 begins at 5pm and runs until 7:30!

Last night our “Pier Pals” learned “Friends are humble!”. They witnessed Jesus take on the role of the servant and wash the feet of the disciples before the Passover meal - John 13:1-15

Tonight they will learn “Friends are caring!” as Jesus meets the fishermen and has breakfast on the beach. John 21:1-19
