A huge thank you to everyone who supported us over the past week. Our volunteers worked around the clock to help house nearly 80 displaced individuals, who have now been able to move on to more stable temporary housing or return to their own homes. At this time, we are no longer accepting donations. Thank you for your understanding and for your incredible generosity.

Sonlight Church in Lynden is providing shelter to approximately 60 individuals displaced by flooding. Upon learning of the immediate needs, we promptly mobilized to respond. We extend our sincere gratitude to two community partners who selflessly answered the call: Jeff at VanderYacht Propane Inc. for generously donating propane tanks and fuel for portable showers, and Kim at Franz Bakery for kindly supplying bread, muffins, and snacks to support meal services. We are deeply appreciative of our community's unwavering support and dedication to serving others.

We have been overwhelmed by the goodness and generosity of so many this week!!

A special huge thanks to Bellingham’s Guud Bowls. Not only do they have exceptionally good food, they have good hearts!! They donated to Sonlight’s emergency flood evacuation shelter a bounty overflowing with delicious offerings from Italian meatballs to chicken tika to heavenly mashed potatoes to luscious salads and so much more!! We are ever so grateful—our guests were warmed and filled.

We are currently open as an emergency shelter for flood evacuees. We are looking for donations of rubber boots. Specifically sizes are mens 10 and women's 7 but I'm sure other sizes would be appreciated. Thank you!
