Sunday morning recap!
Bishop Mike Warwick
"Safe In His Arms"
Deuteronomy 33:27
The Eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.

One phone call ...can shake your world
One doctor's report ...can steal your sleep
One betrayal ...can wound your spirit
One season of pressure ...can make strong people feel weak

The word refuge means ...dwelling place / abiding place. The metaphor here is that we feel at HOME;
At Home... We feel safe
At Home... We take our rest
At Home... The place of truest and purest happiness!

Everlasting Arms...You might fall into them but I promise you...You will not fall through them!!

Point 1: Jesus is with me (Isaiah 41:10; Matthew 28:20; Isaiah 43:2 & Hebrews 13:5)

Point 2: God is at the bottom
David said if I make my bed in hell, behold thou art there
Jonah discovered God in the belly of a fish
Joseph found God in a prison
Daniel found God in a lions den
The Hebrew Boys found God in a furnace

Philippians 1:6 and Jeremiah 29:11

Point 3: I have faith for this
Romans 12:3
Everybody has been given faith.
The issue is not whether faith exists.
The issue is whether faith gets exercised.
Faith grows under pressure and trials.

The same arms that carried Noah through the flood, that protected Moses in the river, that held David in the wilderness, that lifted Peter after failure and that carried Jesus to the cross and rolled the stone away from the grave Are Still Holding YOU today!!!

Sunday, May 24th "Pentecost Sunday"
Sermon topic: When The Wind Blew (Acts 2:1-4)
The wind was: prophetic, penetrating and powerful!
Allow the Holy Spirit to: convict, correct and command!
Fill us up God to get into our divine position as we:
1. Repent (search me Lord)
2. Return (to unified hunger)
3. Reignite (the altar of prayer)
4. Reorder (the house for HIS habitation)
**May we ALL be empowered, enabled and equipped to advance HIS kingdom here in the earth!

🤝 Driving Change & Saving Lives in Robeson County 🤝
This past Wednesday night, community members gathered at Covenant Worship Center for a vital, eye-opening informative session on the Opioid Crisis in our county.
We want to extend a massive thank you to our guest speaker, Leslie Locklear, the CORE Program Coordinator, for sharing essential knowledge, data, and life-saving strategies with everyone who attended.
💡 What Was Shared:
Education & Awareness: Breaking down key statistics, understanding risk factors, and recognizing current drug trends affecting our families.
Hands-On Training: Attendees learned how to identify an overdose and effectively administer life-saving Naloxone (Narcan).
Resources & Support: Connecting individuals to treatment options, support groups, and immediate crisis assistance.
🚫 Safe, Non-Judgmental Space
Recovery and loss are deeply personal journeys. Our collective goal is to eliminate stigma and provide a supportive environment for families and individuals navigating these challenges. No one has to walk this path alone.
Let’s keep the momentum going! Please help us spread awareness, education, and resources throughout our community.

🚨Community Information Session: Understanding the Opioid Crisis

Our community, like so many others, has been deeply impacted by the opioid epidemic. It touches families, neighbors, and friends in ways that are often hidden behind silence or stigma.

As a church family, we want to open our doors, share vital information, and offer a space of support and hope.

Please join us this week for an informative and meaningful discussion:

🗓️ When: Wednesday, May 20 at 6:30 PM
📍 Where: Covenant Worship Center
1270 Linkhaw Road Lumberton, NC 28358
🗣️ What to expect: We will discuss how the crisis affects our local area, how to recognize signs of misuse, and the practical resources available to help those who are struggling or recovering.

This event is completely free and open to everyone in the community—whether you are looking for answers for a loved one, work in a field that interacts with this crisis, or simply want to learn how to be a more supportive neighbor.

You don't have to navigate this alone. Let’s learn, heal, and support one another together.

See you there. ❤️

**Please make plans to join us May 20, 2026 @6:30pm for an informative session on the opioid crisis in our county from CORE Program Coordinator, Leslie Locklear.

The stats are shifting in Robeson County. 📉
Recent data for 2025 shows a 9% decline in opioid-related ER visits and a significant drop in fatal overdoses compared to 2023.

The Reality:
📍 Robeson’s rate is still 2x the state average.
📍 Men aged 25–34 remain at the highest risk.
📍 Fentanyl continues to be the primary driver of local emergencies.

We are moving in the right direction, but the work isn't done. New local facilities in are now open to provide immediate help for those in crisis.

Hope is here. Help is local. 🤝
