The longer Matt Boswell prayed Psalm 51, the greater his desire grew to sing it.

At the end of his book, Create in Me a Clean Heart, Matt Boswell shares a new hymn entitled, O God, Be Merciful to Me - returning the reader to what Psalm 51 always was: the lyrics to a song. The result is a new metrical version set to Stuart Townend's melody for How Deep the Father's Love.

Our first-ever D&T Workshop is taking place in DFW this fall!

Workshops are a different kind of day than our One Day conferences. This is a hands-on, classroom-style training event for pastors and worship leaders who want to grow in thinking theologically, pastorally, and practically about planning and leading the church gathering.

Through biblical instruction, guided demonstration, and small group application, we will work through how your convictions about worship actually shape your order of service - the elements you include, how they fit together, and how you lead them well.

We would especially love for the pastor and worship leader from the same church to attend together.

Pastor, worship leader — prepare well, plan carefully, and think through every transition. But as you step up to lead this Sunday, remember that the ultimate goal is not a smooth service. We were saved to worship God. Every element, every song, every moment of the gathering exists to lead people toward that end. May that reality free you from the pressure of perfection and fill you with the joy of what you actually get to do.
