Ekklesia of Jesus Christ

Ekklesia of Jesus Christ We are the Body of Christ (Christian), non-denominational Church.

In it’s most general sense, our church is a religious society founded and established by Jesus Christ, to receive, preserve, and propagate His doctrine and ordinances. At Ekklesia of Jesus Christ, we’re all about God and Jesus—and the only way to get to know Jesus is to understand what the Bible says about him, which includes what he said about himself.

Has God's message always been about rules and performance... or has it always been about trust?

In this episode of The Time Is Now, we explore one of the most overlooked themes in Scripture: trusting God and trusting His Word. From Adam and Eve in the Garden, to Noah building the ark, Abraham offering Isaac, Moses leading Israel, and ultimately Jesus Christ fulfilling God's plan, the Bible reveals a consistent message: God is looking for people who trust Him.

In this episode, we discuss:

• Why trust has been God's desire from the very beginning
• The connection between faith, peace, and trusting God's promises
• Noah, Abraham, Lot, and other examples of trust throughout Scripture
• Why God's Word never returns void
• How God uses trials and tribulations to teach us trust
• Why our trust belongs in Jesus Christ and His finished work
• The difference between trusting God's promises and trusting yourself
• What Cain, Abel, and the sacrifice teach us about faith
• Why God's perspective is far beyond human understanding
• How trusting God brings peace in a chaotic world

The central message is simple:

Trust what God has said. Trust what Jesus has done. Trust the One who sees the end from the beginning.

The gospel is not about your performance.

It's not about your works.
It's not about your righteousness.
It's not about proving yourself worthy.

Ephesians teaches that salvation is to the praise of God's glory through His grace.

Why?

Because God alone can give grace.

The moment we start trusting our own efforts, we're attempting to take credit for something only God can do.

Galatians 1 warns believers not to be removed from the grace of Christ to "another gospel."

What is another gospel?

Anything that adds human performance to the finished work of Jesus Christ.

The true gospel points all glory back to God because salvation is His gift from beginning to end.

Romans 9 presents one of the most challenging questions in Scripture:

Why did God choose Jacob over Esau?

The Bible says that before either child was born, before they had done any good or evil, God had already made His choice.

Why?

"So that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of Him that calls."

Jacob wasn't chosen because he earned it.

He wasn't chosen because he was perfect.

In fact, Scripture records many of Jacob's failures.

The point of the passage is that God's purpose is established by His calling, not by human effort.

Salvation has never been about working your way into God's favor.

It has always been about God's grace, God's promise, and God's purpose fulfilled through Jesus Christ.

Many believers spend their lives focused on themselves.

Their failures.
Their mistakes.
Their shortcomings.

But the more you focus on yourself, the heavier the burden becomes.

The mind of Christ shifts your focus away from self and onto Him.

When you stumble, God isn't standing over you saying:

"You're wrong. You're wrong. You're wrong."

He's correcting, teaching, and directing you back toward truth.

Sometimes people think they've left the path entirely.

In reality, they've just fallen down on the path.

Grace isn't permission to live however you want.

Grace is the freedom to get back up, keep walking, and serve Christ without a guilty conscience.

What does it actually mean to be holy?

Most people think holiness is about behavior, appearance, or trying harder.

But Ephesians 1 says we were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blame before Him.

Biblically, holiness means being set apart for God's purpose.

Think about Moses and the burning bush.

The ground wasn't holy because it did something special.

It was holy because God chose to use it for His purpose.

In the same way, believers are set apart by God for His will.

Holiness isn't about making yourself worthy.

It's about being chosen and used by God.

What did Jesus mean when He said:

"It is finished"?

Jesus said He came not to destroy the Law and the Prophets, but to fulfill them.

Then on the cross, after all things were accomplished, He declared:

"It is finished."

The law was never the promise.

The law revealed guilt and showed mankind that righteousness could not be earned.

The promise was always God's gift through faith.

Jesus fulfilled the Law, the Prophets, and the promise made to Abraham.

That's why salvation is not about earning God's favor.

It's about trusting what Christ already accomplished.
