🙏 Why Did Sai Baba Ask for Dakshina? 🙏

When Sai Baba asked His devotees for Dakshina, was He really asking for money—or was He asking for something much deeper?

In the Sri Sai Satcharitra, Baba's Dakshina teaches us about renunciation, detachment and inner purification. Through giving, Baba helped His devotees loosen their attachment to material things and reminded them that true spiritual growth requires us to surrender what we hold onto most tightly.

Dakshina therefore becomes more than an offering. It becomes an opportunity to ask ourselves:

What am I still attached to?
What is Baba asking me to surrender?
What can I place at His feet today?

Watch this short teaching and contemplate the deeper purpose behind Baba's request for Dakshina.
