Forgiveness does not mean forgetting past hurts, it means letting your own heart heal and refusing to let bitterness take root. God did not intend us to carry that weight of resentment, but letting go can take time. Today, perhaps, we should ask the Lord to soften our hearts to make room for forgiveness.
