Our diverse activities range from our monthly poker game and annual men’s retreat to providing gifts for every Bar and Bat Mitzvah child to being the grill masters of the annual Purim Carnival and Temple "Sha-BBQs." We strive to achieve Tikkun Olam, to make our world a better place. Temple Judea Brotherhood provides tangible and intangible gifts to our congregation. We provide scholarships for chi
ldren, from preschoolers to post B'nai Mitzvah, so they can participate in summer camps and retreats, as well as other important youth programs. We work with all Temple Judea auxiliaries and are represented at nearly every Temple event. Each year we provide Yom HaShoah candles for our entire Judea family, and we print and distribute the Temple Directory. We also engage in many social and sporting activities, including our International Tasting Series, poker games, and going to baseball, basketball and hockey games with our youth groups. In the past, we have put on major shows and dances, giving us the opportunity to develop friendships, network, have fun and feel more a part of the Temple community. All Temple Judea "brothers" are invited to join our group of friendly and dedicated men. Our monthly meeting is open to all Temple men and is held on the second Tuesday evening of every month. To find out more about our activities, please e-mail us at [email protected] and we’ll put you on our mailing list or get the name of a Brotherhood representative from the Temple office, (818) 758-3800, for more information. We promise you will experience the personal satisfaction that comes from doing good things for others simply because you can, and because it is the right thing to do, all while making lasting friendships.
