Day SEVEN

We had an awesome first day at the Youth Conference. The Lord moved in mighty ways as we played games and sports, made crafts and formed relationships through small group conversations.

Day SIX

The last day of VBS had an unexpected beginning. Heavy rain required flexibility and a change of schedule. Despite this, God still moved in big ways. Our team spent extra time playing, dancing and connecting with the kids while others set up the sanctuary. Our final day of VBS saw many decisions made for Christ and a celebration of our time there.

Day FIVE

We had another eventful day at VBS!

Followed by visits to Nana’s Health Center, the UCSS Agricultural Department, and Bulike’s original water source before UCSS installed wells.

It was an incredible day and we are blown away by the development of this community in just a few short years. Most importantly we are grateful for the lives changed because of the Good News of Jesus.

Day FOUR
✅ Today was our first day of VBS. We worshiped, played, created, and learned with 1100 children.
✅ We returned to the Mission House exhausted, yet rejuvenated from the contagious joy of the children.
✅ We ended our day with a visit to Cornerstone Vocational School. Our team was amazed to hear stories from people who have been impacted by this project our congregation has sponsored.
💥 We can’t wait for VBS DAY TWO!

Day THREE

✅ We started our day with a devotional.
✅ Next we gathered in small groups to worship with five local churches. While we came from very different backgrounds, we were unified in our love of the one true God.
✅ After eating lunch, we prepared for our first day of VBS!

Day TWO was a success!

✅ Visited the UCSS (Uganda counseling & support services) site where our missionary partners are building their new headquarters. This building will serve as a church, dorm, counseling center and more. 
✅ Ate a delicious lunch in Jinja.
✅ Took a boat tour of the Nile river. This was a special time to bond as a team. 
✅ Arrived at Bulike Mission House.

Looking forward to a good nights sleep.

🆙 Five team members will teach at local churches. We are thanking God for the opportunity to worship together!
🆙 Preparing, physically, emotionally, and spiritually for VBS on Monday.

Today we landed in country and were met by Dr. Ronald and company! We were able to spend the afternoon in our hotel and gathered together for dinner in the evening. We even had the chance to celebrate a special birthday!

Please pray for us as we leave first thing in the morning for Bulike!

A Christian roaster from Kyiv, Ukraine will be selling coffee in the atrium this Sunday, May 19. All proceeds will support displaced Ukrainian women and children. He will be joined by Cornerstone-supported missionary Zak Good. Please consider donating to this wonderful cause!

Since February, Haiti has been in a state of violent unrest after gangs took control over much of the capital. These gangs have kidnapped and killed hundreds in an attempted coup. Please pray that the Lord would protect our missionaries and sustain them as basic resources become increasingly sparse and expensive. Join us as we ask the Lord to bring peace to Haiti.

Want to experience cross-cultural ministry without leaving Loudoun County? Join a Cornerstone mission trip to Kazakhstan! Cornerstone is hosting a 4-day English as a Second Language (ESL) camp via Zoom.

We will join a Kazakh Christian ESL team to teach conversational English to those in their community looking to learn English. You will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with these participants, teach conversational English using the Bible, and share the Gospel.

A great photo of our Uganda team praying that God’s will would be done in their upcoming trip! There they will be hosting VBS for kids in the area, as well as ministering to high schoolers and even local pastors there. We are proud to partner with both Uganda Counseling and Support Services (UCSS) and its founder, Dr. Ronald Kaluya.

Cornerstone's missionaries in Ghana have recently held an evangelism outreach for lost children.

"Over 100 people responded to the low pressure altar call. Prayed with them in their seats and then said if anyone wants to ask Christ to forgive you, or if you just did, come down here and a counselor can talk with you. Over 100! Can’t stop praising my Jesus!"

So thankful for how God is using Cornerstone for His glory all around the world!

Due to your gracious donations, Cornerstone has purchased a new pediatric anesthesia machine for child surgeries happening overseas! After many hurdles, it has finally been installed in the OR at Tenwek Hospital in Kenya!

Our missionaries, Mike and Julie Ganey serve the area of Bomet, Kenya in many areas including pediatric care and discipleship.

Cornerstone family, we are already seeing fruit from our 2022 Missionary Christmas Catalog! Zak and Mira, our missionaries in Hungary, hosted a Christmas party for Ukrainian refugees at their church. We raised the exact amount to cover this outreach.
