📚🌈 This Pride Month, we've partnered with Birch Tree Bookstore to bring you the LUMC Recommends reading list, a curated collection of books for kids and adults that are inclusive, gentle, and filled with love for God and neighbor.

These are books that make room for everyone. Whether you're exploring faith for the first time, raising curious kids, or just looking for something that feels like a deep breath, we think you'll find something here.

You can find the full list at: https://bookshop.org/lists/leesburg-united-methodist-church-picks-for-pride-month. The books will be available at Birch Tree Bookstore throughout June, at our booth at the Loudoun Pride Festival on June 6th, and in the LUMC church library shortly after.

Reminder! Our in-person Pop-Up Book Club discussion of Theo of Golden is this Sunday at noon. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Rev. Rhonda as soon as possible so we can coordinate lunch. What a Sunday it was! Our hearts—and our sanctuary—were full on Heritage Sunday. From reconnecting with returning guests & clergy, sharing a wonderful meal, serving together in mission, and learning more about our church’s history, the day was a joyful celebration of community and faith. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the many volunteers who gave their time, talents, and hard work to make the day so special.

🌈 LUMC will be at the Loudoun Pride Festival on June 6th at Ida Lee Park in Leesburg, and we would love to see you there!

If you've ever wondered whether there's a church out there that would truly welcome you, the answer is YES. We have an active Reconciling Ministries group within our congregation, and we are committed to the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in the life of our church. No asterisks. No conditions. Just welcome.

Come find us at our booth and say hello. We'd love to meet you, answer questions, or just share a conversation.
