One tradition I'm glad I've sustained each year is dying Easter Eggs with the kids.

It's a good one to prioritize because: Off-screen, keeps them busy for long time, relatively affordable, can be done outside, & eventually gets trashed rather than stored on a shelf somewhere!

My soon-to-be 6th grader was barely 4 yo when we started. One year, we didn't even get to it until July. Still worked.

This year, we were early and even leveled up to coloring feet when all the eggs were gone.🥚🦶🏻🎨🤣🤷🏼

Such a fun springtime family memory made this last weekend.

Annnnnnd, I'm proud to have stretched myself into learning how to bake a strawberry pie from scratch (square pan). Baking is great for the right hemisphere (most people's weaker hemisphere). 👨🏻‍🍳🍓

My small worker fills buckets of rocks from rear hillside garden that slip down into the yard for $1 per bucket.

She used 2 recent dollars to buy four 47 cent Kool Aid packets to "cook my own Kool-aid at home." I love her so much.
