The Community Blood Center is set up, our volunteers are in place, and we are ready for your gifts of blood at Resurrection Lee's Summit. The CBC will be here from 2-7pm, today (Thursday, May 14, 2026).

Every two seconds, someone in America needs blood. A child fighting cancer. A mother in surgery. A trauma victim after an accident. A neighbor you may never meet but whose life could depend on the generosity of a stranger.

Blood cannot be manufactured. It can only come from people willing to give a small part of themselves so someone else can keep living. One donation can help save multiple lives.

If you are healthy and able, consider donating blood. It is one of the simplest, most powerful acts of compassion we can offer. A single hour of your time could become someone else’s second chance, answered prayer, or tomorrow morning.

Please give blood. Someone, somewhere, is hoping a donor shows up today.

“Led by Pastor Robert Johnson, this six-day pilgrimage departing March 15, 2027 traces the sacred and sobering events that shaped the American Civil Rights Movement through the lens of faith, courage, and costly discipleship. Traveling together, participants will stand where ordinary people made extraordinary choices for justice, visiting Little Rock Central High School, the Mississippi Delta, and sites connected to the stories of Daisy Bates, Emmett Till, and Medgar Evers, as well as Freedom Summer and the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. The journey also includes time in New Orleans and historic Beale Street, where the Delta blues and the lasting impact of Hurricane Katrina together tell a story of resilience, creativity, and hope. Each day is shaped by guided reflection, teaching, prayer, and honest conversation as participants wrestle with the past and discern how God is calling us to live more faithfully today. Scheduled during Spring Break, this trip is open to adults and high schoolers alike. The cost is $2,078, space is limited to 45 travelers, and early registration is encouraged. Register using the button below!”
