Summary:

The book of Leviticus describes the offerings, the role of the priests and the atonement of sins that are required for the people of Isreal to be in the presence of their Holy God.

Outline:
I. Restricted Access
II. The Structure of Leviticus
a. Rituals (offerings & festivals) 1—7, 23—27
b. Priests (ministry & rules) 8—10, 21—22
c. Purity of Israel 11—15, 18—20
d. The Atonement 16—17

III. Example: The Priests begin their ministry (Lev. 9)

Application:

The holiness of God demands that nothing unclean be in his presence. All our sin must be atoned for and removed. Praise be to the Lord & Savior Jesus Christ our sacrificial lamb, who grants us access to God our Father by his work on the cross.
