We’re Looking for Your Help!

Our parish is trying to identify the person or persons who assisted during an emergency at a funeral at our church this past Saturday.

Annual Back to School Blessing at 11:00 Mass. Everyone enjoyed Red Beans and Snowballs while fellowshipping. Thank you Snowcone Heaven for the snowballs and all volunteers that cooked, setup and served.

What a beautiful surprise when we stepped out of the office. Thank you to Mr. Sunny, Mr. St. Julien, Mr. Levi and Mrs. Judy! Trees have been trimmed and the flowers beds are weeded.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our former pastor, Father Harold Trahan.

We give thanks to God for Father Trahan’s faithful service, his priestly ministry, and the many lives he touched during his time at Our Lady Queen of Peace. Please keep him, his family, and all who mourn his passing in your prayers.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

With faith and hope in the resurrection of Jesus, we inform you of the death of Father Harold Trahan, who died early this morning at Consolata in New Iberia. He was 83 years old. Funeral arrangements with Martin and Castille are pending. Please keep Father Trahan and those who mourn his absence in your prayers.
