🔥 BUILT DIFFERENT – WEEK 2 RECAP 🔥

What an incredible night! We played games, had worship, ate popsicles and more importantly this week we learned about having a Different Talk and how our words matter. The Bible teaches us that what comes out of our mouth reflects what’s in our heart.

đź“– Memory Verse:
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying…”
— Ephesians 4:29 KJV

Just a reminder next Wednesday night half of our youth will be at camp so we will have regular church and pick back up on our summer series on

Pastors front porch thought for today!

I love a good, old-fashioned, high-time church service as much as anybody. There is absolutely nothing wrong with shouting, crying, running the aisles, and getting happy in the Lord! God inhabits the praises of His people, and when the Holy Ghost moves in the room, it ought to stir us up.
But can we talk plain for a minute?
Too many times, we mistake a good, emotional service for a true move of God. We say, "Man, the Lord really moved today!" just because the music was right and the altar was packed. But the real proof of a move of God isn't how high we jump or how loud we shout. The true sign of a move of God is when people’s lives actually change. It’s when a man or a woman leaves that building a different person than they were when they walked in.
Conviction that leads to conversion is what we need. If we can shout on Sunday but go right back to gossiping, holding grudges, and living like the world on Monday, we didn’t have a revival, we just had an emotional reaction.
The Apostle Paul put it plain and simple in the Bible in 2 Corinthians 5:17:
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
And James tells us we can't just be listeners and shouters; we’ve got to be doers. James 1:22 says:
"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."
Let’s keep praising Him with everything we’ve got. Let's run, let's shout, and let's give Him glory. But let's make sure that when the music stops and the lights fade, we are taking a changed heart out into a broken world. That is where the true move of God begins.

Prayer for our Church building. And outreach.

"Heavenly Father, Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, You are the Creator of heaven and earth, and nothing is too difficult for You. You are the God who establishes the work of our hands, and today we come before You acknowledging our deep need. Look down from Your holy habitation and behold this house called by Your name.
Lord, our physical walls are fractured, our joists are sagging, and our strength is small. But You are the Master Builder. We ask that You remember Your promises to those who build Your house. Just as You stirred the hearts of Your people to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem, stir the hearts of Your people today. Give us a mind to work, and grant us favor in the sight of those who can help.
We pray for the physical restoration of this building. Where there is decay, bring structural integrity. Send us the craftsmen, the skilled laborers, the engineers, and the builders who possess the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding needed to repair these breaches, to straighten the steeple, and to secure the rafters. Open the windows of heaven and pour out a financial blessing so great that we will not have room enough to receive it. Provide the silver and the gold, which are already Yours, to fund every beam, every brick, and every nail.
More than the wood and stone, Lord, we pray for the living stones. Provide the people. Send laborers into this harvest field. Knit our hearts together in perfect unity, that we may be of one accord. Remove all fear, doubt, and division, and replace it with a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.
We do not ask this for our own pride, but so that Your name may be glorified in this community. Let this house remain a beacon for the lost, a refuge for the broken, and a place where souls are won for Your Kingdom. Establishe the work of our hands, Lord, yes, establish the work of our hands.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, Amen."

Out reach.
"Father God, Lord of the Harvest, You are the God who sets the members in the body, every one of them, just as it pleases You. You are the Light of the world, a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. We come to You today seeking Your divine blueprint for our church's impact in this community.
Lord, we thank You for the ministries already working around us, but we ask for our specific assignment. Give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to our church. Close every door that is not of You, and open the effectual doors that no man can shut. Guide our steps, Lord, and show us exactly where the hurt is that You want us to heal, and where the lost are that You want us to reach. Give us the spiritual sight to see the fields that are already white for harvest.
We pray for the people to match the vision. You are the Lord of the Harvest, and we ask You to thrust out laborers into our specific harvest field. Send us people with the passion, the calling, and the unique gifts to launch and lead these ministries. Bring us the leaders, the organizers, and the servants whose hearts burn for our community.
Father, we pray for your supernatural blessing over these future endeavors. Let whatever we put our hands to prosper. When we go out into the community, let Your favor surround us like a shield. Let signs, wonders, and transformed lives follow our service. Let our good works be so evident that the people of this community cannot help but glorify You.
Finally, Lord, we ask for supernatural wisdom and knowledge to take this church to the next level. We acknowledge that our own understanding is limited. We ask for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Give us the discernment of the sons of Issachar, who understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do. Expand our territory, enlarge our vision, and stretch our capacity. Equip us to move from where we are to where You want us to be, growing not just in numbers, but in spiritual power and community impact.
We commit our way to You, trusting that You will bring it to pass.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen."

Our community.
"Almighty and Eternal God, the God of all grace, mercy, and peace, we lift up our community and the surrounding areas before Your throne of grace. You are the God who loves the world, and we stand as watchmen on the walls for our neighbors today.
Lord, we pray first for salvation to sweep through these streets. Just as the apostles prayed for the word of the Lord to spread rapidly and be honored, we ask that You open blind eyes and turn people from darkness to light. Pour out Your Spirit upon our community, convicting hearts of sin and righteousness. Let the gospel go forth with power, and grant that repentance and forgiveness of sins would be preached and received in every household. Draw the lost, the broken, and the wandering into Your Kingdom.
We pray for Your divine protection over our neighborhoods. We stand on Your promises as a fortress and a shield. We ask that You deliver our community from the hands of the enemy, from violence, and from destruction. Let Your peace, which passes all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of the families here. Appoint Your angels to watch over our streets, that our people may dwell safely and rest secure from fear.
Father, grant prosperity and well-being to this region. We pray for the peace and prosperity of the area where You have planted us, knowing that if it prospers, we too will prosper. Rain down Your blessings upon the labor of our neighbors' hands. Open Your good storehouse, the heavens, to bless the economy, the businesses, the schools, and the families. Let there be no lack, and let Your provision break every cycle of poverty and hardship in this surrounding area.
We ask for Your supernatural favor to rest upon this community. Let Your face shine upon our neighbors and be gracious to them. Lift up Your countenance upon these homes and give them peace. May Your favor shield the families, the leaders, and the children. Let this entire area become a land blessed by the Lord, known for righteousness, unity, and truth.
Finally, Lord, command Your blessing upon this place, even life forevermore. Bless our community coming in and going out. Let Your goodness and mercy follow every resident. May the surrounding area see the unmistakable hand of God at work, and may Your name be magnified above all else.
In the mighty, saving, and authoritative name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

A from the Heart moment!
When the Glow Isn't You

Morning Devotion

"If you see me glowing, it's Jesus. If you see me healing, it's Jesus. If you see me still standing, it's totally Jesus. If my life reflects anything good, let it point back to Him."

There comes a place in your walk with God where you stop trying to take credit for what only grace could accomplish.

The truth is, some people see the smile but don't know about the tears. They see the victory but don't know about the battles.

They see the healing but don't know about the brokenness you carried. They see the strength but don't know how many nights you cried out to God when nobody else was around.

If we're honest, every good thing in us is because of Jesus.
The Apostle Paul said:

"But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain..." — 1 Corinthians 15:10 (KJV)

Paul understood that everything he had become was because of God's grace. He wasn't who he used to be, but he knew the difference wasn't his own power—it was Jesus.

1. If You're Healing, It's Because Jesus Is the Healer

Some wounds don't heal overnight. Some scars take time. Yet little by little, God restores what was broken.

"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." — Psalm 147:3 (KJV)

If your heart is healing today, give God the glory. If your mind has more peace than it used to, give God the glory. If you've survived what should have destroyed you, give God the glory.

2. If You're Still Standing, It's Because Jesus Held You Up

There were moments when you didn't think you could make it another day. Yet somehow, God carried you through.

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." — Psalm 46:1 (KJV)

You didn't stand because you were strong enough. You stood because His hand never let go of yours.

3. If There's Any Light In Your Life, It Comes From Him

The world celebrates self-made people, but believers know better.

Jesus said:
"I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." — John 8:12 (KJV)

Any glow others see is simply the reflection of His presence shining through a surrendered life.

Some Real Talk
When people compliment your strength, remember Jesus.
When they notice your peace, remember Jesus.
When they admire your testimony, remember Jesus.
When they see your transformation, remember Jesus.

Because without Him, we'd still be lost, still be broken, still be carrying things we were never meant to carry alone.

Everything good in us should point people back to the One who saved us, healed us, restored us, and keeps us standing.

"Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake." — Psalm 115:1 (KJV)

My Prayer for you today

Father, thank You for every blessing, every healing, every victory, and every step forward. Help me never to forget where my strength comes from. If my life shines in any way, let it shine for Your glory.

If others see anything good in me, let it point them to Jesus. Keep me humble, grateful, and fully dependent on You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today, if you're glowing, healing, growing, or still standing, don't forget the reason:
It's JESUS!!!!

Love you all đź’—

Pastors front porch thought for today!

Psalm 42 v 1 (NLT)
"As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God."

King David was a man after God’s own heart, and he didn't hide his desperation. He knew what it felt like to be spiritually starving, crying out for the Lord the same way a deer desperately hunts for a stream in the middle of a drought.
It makes you think, doesn't it?
When was the last time you felt that kind of hunger? How long has it been since you were truly thirsty for the Lord?
Life gets so busy. We fill our schedules, our minds, and our days with a million different things, good things, sometimes, but we leave our souls running on empty. We get so used to being spiritually dry that we forget what it feels like to be filled up.
If you’re feeling disconnected, tired, or just going through the motions today, take a second to pause. Bring that hunger back to the only One who can actually satisfy it. He’s just waiting for us to pull up a chair.

A from the Heart moment

When You Feel Like You're Not Enough

Good morning.
Have you ever looked around and felt like everyone else was moving ahead while you were standing still?
Maybe you've watched others succeed, achieve goals, build dreams, and step into opportunities while you're sitting there wondering, "Lord, what about me?"
We live in a world full of possibilities.

Social media shows us highlight reels. Advertisements tell us we need more. The world constantly whispers that we should be farther along, look better, do more, and be more.

And if we're not careful, we'll start believing that who we are isn't enough.
But can I remind you of something this morning?

Jesus never asked you to be enough.
He asked you to come to Him.

1. Jesus Doesn't Need Your Perfection—He Wants Your Heart

The enemy loves to make us feel less than. He points out our failures, weaknesses, mistakes, and shortcomings. He reminds us of where we've been instead of where God is taking us.

But God sees something different.

"But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature... for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart." — 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV)

Real talk: Most of us are harder on ourselves than God is.

While we're focused on what we're not, God is focused on who we're becoming.

2. Lay Down the Weight of Comparison

Comparison is exhausting.
It steals joy, peace, and contentment.
God never called you to be someone else. He created you with purpose, on purpose, and for His purpose.

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." — Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)

Your journey won't look like anyone else's.

Your testimony won't sound like anyone else's.

Your calling won't unfold like anyone else's.

And that's okay.

God is writing a story with your life that only He can write.

3. Give Everything to Jesus

Sometimes we spend so much energy trying to fix ourselves that we forget to surrender ourselves.

This morning, Jesus isn't asking for your polished version.

He's asking for your burdens.
Your fears.
Your insecurities.
Your disappointments.
Your future.
Your whole heart.

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." — 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)

What a beautiful truth. Not some of your cares. Not the easy ones.
All of them.

The things you tell others and the things you keep hidden.

The dreams you're afraid won't happen.
The hurts you pretend don't bother you anymore.

Give them to Jesus.

4. Living for Him Is Greater Than Living for Approval

At the end of the day, the goal isn't to impress people.
The goal is to please Jesus.
People's opinions change. Trends come and go. Applause fades.
But living for Christ has eternal value.

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;" — Colossians 3:23 (KJV)

When you live for Him, your worth is no longer tied to your performance.

Your value isn't determined by likes, followers, accomplishments, or recognition.

Your value was settled at Calvary.
Jesus thought you were worth dying for.

My Final Thought

Maybe this morning you feel small in a world that seems so big.
Maybe you feel overlooked, forgotten, or inadequate.

But remember this:
The same God who hung the stars in the sky knows your name.
The same Savior who conquered death walks beside you today.

You don't have to be the smartest, strongest, most talented, or most successful person in the room.
You simply need to be His.

And when you belong to Jesus, you are never "less than."
You are loved, chosen, forgiven, and deeply valued by the King of Kings.

"My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever." — Psalm 73:26 (KJV)

My Prayer for you today

Father, today I lay down every feeling of inadequacy, comparison, and self-doubt. Help me stop measuring my worth by the standards of this world and begin seeing myself through Your eyes.

Teach me to surrender every burden, every fear, and every dream to You. Let my life be lived for Your glory and not for the approval of others.

Remind me that because I belong to Jesus, I am loved, accepted, and enough through Him. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Today, don't focus on all the possibilities you may be missing. Focus on the Savior who is holding your future in His hands. ❤️

Pastors front porch thought for today!

Romans 12:1 tells us to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service.
But let’s bring that down to where we live today. What are we actually offering Him when we wake up?
God doesn't want perfection, He wants us. Offering ourselves as a living sacrifice means giving Him our ordinary, everyday lives.
Offering Him our patience when we're stuck in traffic or dealing with a difficult person.
Offering Him our words when we choose to lift someone up instead of tearing them down.
Offering Him our time just to sit quietly, listen, and say, "Lord, I'm yours today."
It’s called our "reasonable service" because when you look at everything He’s already done for us, giving Him our day is the least we can do. It’s just our logical next step.
So, what are you offering Him today? Let's give Him our best, even in the small things. Like the old song we used to sing says.." Take time out for Jesus, He took time out for you"

06/08/2026

A from the Heart moment.

Walking With Jesus and Walking With People

Morning Devotion
"A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." — Proverbs 18:24 (KJV)

There is something in all of us that longs to be known, loved, and understood. We were never created to walk this life alone. God designed us for relationship—first with Him, and then with one another.

The truth is, friendships can be beautiful, but they can also be painful.
People can disappoint us.

Sometimes those we trust the most walk away. Sometimes misunderstandings happen. Sometimes life simply pulls people in different directions.

If we're not careful, the hurt from people can cause us to build walls around our hearts.

But here's the real talk this morning: don't let the failures of people keep you from the love of Jesus or the blessings of healthy relationships.

Jesus knows what it feels like to be misunderstood, rejected, and abandoned.

Yet He still loved.
He still reached out.
He still called people friends.

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you." — John 15:13-14 (KJV)

1. Jesus Is The Friend Who Never Leaves

People may come and go, but Jesus remains faithful.

When everyone else is asleep, He's awake. When no one else understands, He does. When your heart is heavy, He carries the burden with you.

"I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." — Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)

What a comfort to know that our greatest friendship isn't based on convenience, feelings, or circumstances. It is built upon His unchanging love.

2. Healthy Relationships Require Grace

None of us are perfect.
The same grace we want when we fail is the grace we need to extend to others. Friendships survive when people choose forgiveness over bitterness and understanding over assumptions.

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." — Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)

Some relationships may never be what they once were, but carrying unforgiveness only weighs down your own soul.

3. Be The Friend You Pray For

Many people pray for good friends while forgetting to become one.

Be encouraging.
Be dependable.
Be honest.
Be compassionate.

"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ." — Galatians 6:2 (KJV)

Sometimes the very friendship you're seeking is found when you begin pouring into someone else.

4. Keep Jesus At The Center

The strongest relationships are the ones where Jesus is at the center.

When Christ is the foundation, friendships become deeper, marriages become stronger, and families become healthier.

"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works." — Hebrews 10:24 (KJV)

My Final Thought đź’—
This morning, thank God for the people He has placed in your life. Reach out to someone who may need encouragement. Send a text.
Make a call.
Pray for a friend.

But above all, spend time with the Friend who gave His life for you.

The older I get, the more I realize that life's greatest treasures aren't things—they're relationships.

A walk with Jesus and meaningful connections with others are worth more than money, status, or success.

If you have Jesus, you are never alone. And if you have even one true friend walking beside you, you are richer than you know.

My Prayer for today,
Father, thank You for being the Friend that sticketh closer than a brother. Help me to love others the way You love me. Heal any hurt in my heart from broken relationships and teach me to walk in grace and forgiveness. Strengthen my relationship with You and help me be a blessing to those around me.
In Jesus' name, Amen. ❤️
