It's been almost 7 months since Colton and I went down and our family again wants to thank all of you that have been praying for us, offered words of encouragement, and supported us spiritually, physically, and financially.
So many are still asking how you can help. Well here is what our need is. Honey and I are still not working. I have reached the end of my short term disability and have been moved into long term disability beginning in August. Honey reached the end of her FMLA and requested unpaid personal leave so she could continue caring for me. Her request was denied and her position was terminated. She hasn't had any income in over 5 months, but she has accepted a position as a home health nurse beginning August 10. It will take us a long time to recover financially, so we continue to need financial support.
Colton is at home being a kid; playing with his siblings, riding his bike, running and jumping. He is looking forward to going back to school in August. Continue to pray for him and his healing. He will have one more surgery after the first of the year. Demetri is working, but their finances have taken a serious hit as well.
