What will it take to bring Franciscan love and joy into a world of uncertainty? As our gathering continues, sisters and affiliates, with our partners in prayer and mission, in relationship with the global community, are finding hope in the love and joy that will fuel the FSPA mission and ministries for the next four years.

Every four years, the FSPA Mission Assembly brings our community together to reflect on important questions: What are the needs of the world? How can the FSPA community respond to the needs with courage, compassion and hope?

This week, we are gathering as sisters, affiliates, prayer partners and partners in mission, leaning into “Hope in Uncertainty” and what is ours to do.

Grateful to everyone who joined our Season of Faithful Witness Eucharistic Procession on the Feast of Corpus Christi. We partnered with Viterbo University and began with Mass followed by the procession around campus, leading us to Mary of the Angels Chapel for adoration and benediction.

Procession Stop 1, access to healthcare: Lord Jesus, hear us for the sick and for all denied care; through your Eucharist make your healing love reach every suffering member of your body, and raise us up in faith and mercy.

Stop 2, access to education: Lord Jesus, feed your Church with truth and love, and make us a people who welcome every learner. Send your grace so that education is open to all.

Stop 3: access to housing: Lord Jesus, make us a home worthy of welcome. Send your spirit to help us build your kingdom of justice, peace and belonging in our words and action.

Mary of the Angels Chapel resounded with the joyful celebration of our jubilarians, who together have brought joy to the world for 780 years as Catholic Sisters: Sister Pauline Wittry (80); Sisters Louise Marie Guralski, Mary Boniface Kriener, Catherine O'Neill and Mary Ann Wiesman (75); Sisters Marcella Anibas, Catherine Kaiser, Antona Schedlo and Dorothy Schneider (70); and Sisters Rose Elsbernd and Lisa Zmuda (60).
